Tell us about your business!

At My Waiheke, we’re all about creating beautiful, relaxed celebrations that reflect our couples personal style. We started back in 2010, born from a love for the island and a background in events and design. We’re a small, passionate team who genuinely care about making the process enjoyable and stress-free. For us, it’s all about heartfelt gatherings that feel effortless and truly personal, set against the stunning backdrop of Waiheke.

What would you like couples to know about you?

We genuinely care so much about you and your wedding day, we will cry during speeches and beam with pride when we get to see the photos after your wedding.

Where are you based?

We are based on Waiheke Island, New Zealand… otherwise known as paradise!

Do you travel for weddings?

We exclusively service Waiheke Island over the wedding season (Oct- May),  but we’d be open to travel over our winters!

How would you describe your style?

Our style is relaxed and effortless, and we love nothing more than creating aesthetically beautiful occasions whilst ensuring every aspect of the celebration is planned and executed with ease. 

What is your most memorable career moment?

One of our favourite memories is planning a peacock-themed wedding at Mudbrick Vineyard. The couple's vision was bold and vibrant, and we transformed the venue into a garden wonderland with rich florals and twinkling lights. It was one big party, filled with colour, glitter and incredible dance moves. The celebration spanned several days, across multiple venues and by the end, the couple and their guests had almost become local celebrities.

What inspires you?

This island, the beautiful that that is all around from the sunsets, lapping waves, coastal headlands, rolling vineyards and white sand beaches. Waiheke is pure inspiration! We are also always looking ahead to the European Summer weddings for inspiration, especially in places like France and Italy, which share some strong resemblances with Waiheke.

How would you describe your working style?

Creative and adaptive! Very good at working under pressure but always exuding an air of calm.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

We have a range of packages that suit the different services needed for Waiheke weddings but are always open to creating something a little more tailored for those who need it.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

Our Wedding Coordination package, it means we get to know our couples really well in the lead up to their day and help them choose the best vendors to execute their vision. By the time their wedding day comes around they feel like old friends!

Where would you love to travel to for work?

Fiji or Rarotonga, both beautiful places that have similarities to Waiheke but still feel like a world away.

Who is your dream client?

Our dream clients are already our clients! Couples who have great taste, aren’t afraid to try something a little outside the box, want a wedding day where they feel relaxed because we have everything handled and want to work with amazing vendors.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Relax, sit back and enjoy the process! Hiring professionals means you can really step back and leave all the details, logistics, planning and stress behind. Trusting the team you book is crucial in making this possible.
