Established in 2022 by the owner and creative director Mardi Sullivan, Lovers Lane Weddings & Events is a boutique wedding planning and styling studio, curated for the modern-day lovers. 

With a background in the corporate world and in interior design, Mardi brings a unique blend of business and organisational expertise integral to the seamless planning and execution of your special day. She loves to tell stories within her designs; creating refined, romantic and memorable moments with your own unique love story woven throughout. Mardi is often told she brings a sense of calm, warmth and comfort to her couples, making sure that your planning journey right through to the day of your wedding is an enjoyable and stress-free process.

Lovers Lane Weddings & Events provides partial planning services, including design, styling, and coordination, or solely design and styling. The husband and wife team also offers hire services, either alongside their packages or as a standalone option for Hunter Valley weddings.

I am here to bring a sense of calm, warmth and comfort to your wedding planning journey experience. My goal is create a day that feels authentically you with refined, romantic and memorable moments curated, with your own unique love story woven throughout.

Yes, we travel within Australia.

How would you describe your style?

Refined, romantic and timeless. We aren’t about following all the recent trends, but instead, curating a day that feels authentic to our lovers, memorable and evokes emotion for years to follow.

What inspires you?

I mostly take inspiration from fashion, interiors, and architecture. My styling designs are often formed by layers and textures, creating depth and detail that feel intentional yet effortless. I also love to draw inspiration from the wedding venue and surroundings, letting the surroundings guide the design so everything feels seamless and isn’t competing against.

How would you describe your working style?

Calm, organised, supportive and fun!

Who is your dream client?

Lovers of fashion, art and interior design. Someone who appreciates the details, has trust in their vendors and who isn’t afraid to have a little fun with creating their wedding design. I also like to work with clients who have similar energy to mine, as we work closely together for sometimes up to 2 years, it makes for an even more seamless wedding journey when I can create a beautiful friendship with our clients.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

To focus on what truly matters (you) and create your day to feel authentic to you, rather than outsiders’ opinions or the pressures of a ‘Pinterest perfect’ wedding.
