A Neoclassical Still Life

Inspired by the Neoclassical Movement, particularly statues of Greek and Roman goddesses photographer Rachel Stenger Photo wanted to ensure that effortlessly beautiful posture, draping of fabric, and the soft determination prevalent in this movement were represented. This still-life inspired styled session mixes dynamic textures and deep neutral colors for an elegant, neoclassical look. Floral table accents of wild terracotta and rust by The Art of Violets were set amongst minimal greenery, and are complemented by glasses of deep red wine, decorative fresh pears and grapes, and vintage brass candle holders with white tapers. The addition of delicately draped linens and simple ceramic vases make this editorial resemble an oil painting coming to life. Featuring a simple silhouette with a detailed neckline, back, and sleeves, the Savannah Miller gown has a romantic aura that ties in the the classic look created by Lucja Bridal Stylist and Nancy Gaona. The bouquet mixes the deep reds and oranges from our table’s floral elements with creamy white blooms and touches of greenery. All of these details are juxtaposed against a setting of clean whites, and come together to create a refined and enchanting look.
