Tell us a little about yourselves!
Laetitia is a fashion designer who worked in Italy for Marni and Andrea Cammarosano. For more than 10 years now, she has been working as an independent artist, mixing embroideries, flowers and painting.
Gregory is a movie director of animated films. He has been working for more than 8 years now as a Video Manager for a private bank in Switzerland.
Laetitia and Greg met 14 years ago during their art studies and split after a few months, not ready at the time to commit. During the pandemic they started to speak again about art projects and future dreams. One thing leading to another, they finally got together again and for good this time. After five years together they decided to get married. Greg proposed to Laetitia on the 30th of March 2024 on a windy pier on the coast of Pesaro (IT).
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
Laetitia’s Italian family is based in Pesaro on the Adriatic Sea coast. She always spent her summer holidays there and brought Greg too. He not only fell in love with Laetitia but also with the city and the culture. This place became their safe-space and it felt natural to do the proposal there but to get married there too.
How many guests did you have?
We had 85 guests, between family, close friends and a few colleagues. They came from Switzerland, Italy, Spain, USA, UK and France.
What was your budget?
We didn’t have a set budget to begin with, but we had more or less defined a limit per guest. Of course, that limit was largely exceeded! Since we wanted to personalize and carefully consider every detail, we also created many things ourselves, which allowed us to keep an eye on our spending.
Tell us about your outfits.
As a fashion designer and artist, Laetitia had a very clear vision of what she wanted for her wedding dresses. She designed her gown herself and had it sewn by a friend she had previously collaborated with. For the ceremony, she drew inspiration from her mother’s wedding dress for the heart-shaped bodice. She wanted to keep the silhouette understated in terms of volume, while highlighting beautiful fabrics and achieving a romantic, slightly dramatic look. The sleeves add a poetic touch, and the front of the dress is short to reveal metallic green shoes, with a small train at the back. The chapel-length veil was entirely hand-embroidered by her with meaningful elements from their life as a couple—like a date, a phrase, their dream home, bunches of grapes, and more.
For the afterparty dress, she chose something short—so she could dance! She drew inspiration from the 1960s and Coco Chanel’s iconic "little black dress," creating a short A-line dress and adding tied ribbons for a cute, princess-like effect. Her veil was also tied into a low ponytail. The patterns on the veil were also hand-embroidered by her, inspired by symbols from the Pesaro region, often found on ancient ceramics and an iconic Italian word to express a good and opulent party: la cuccagna!
Greg drew a great deal of inspiration from 1970s Italian filmmakers, as a film director himself. He wanted to make a statement by wearing an off-white suit—perfect for reflecting the warm Italian light and harmonizing with the cypress trees and rolling green hills. He embraced the codes of classic 70s elegance with a wide Italian collar, a double-breasted jacket, and wide-leg trousers. To add a fresh twist to the look, he wore pistachio green socks and shoes embroidered with a tree motif—a subtle nod to their shared love for nature and plants, and to the beautiful surroundings of their celebration.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
We wanted to find a place that truly reflected who we are—intimate, original, personal, and charming. We also wanted to be surrounded by people who share an artistic vision and would understand ours. We are lucky to be close to many loved ones whose artistic aesthetics align with ours, allowing us to create a unique atmosphere all around us on this special day. We wanted a magical and perfect day with our family, who is rarely all together since they are scattered across the world, as well as with our friends who made the journey. The most important things were a perfect location and good food, and of course, being in agreement and harmony throughout the whole process.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
We are very mindful of symbols and somewhat superstitious. Throughout our wedding, we noticed many subtle nods and meaningful signs woven into the details. For instance, Laetitia, having recently lost her father, wished to honor his memory by incorporating small touches that represented him—a delicate chili pepper embroidered on her veil or nestled within her bouquet.
Since we handcrafted so much ourselves, the décor was deeply important to us. For the ceremony, we truly wanted to create a romantic and intimate setting—a delicate cocoon surrounding us, with our guests gathered close in a beautiful garden. We made ceramic holders for our wedding rings, draped a large ribbon adorned with flowers over ancient amphoras, and, as embroidery is Laetitia’s craft, it felt natural that embroidered details would appear everywhere—on the seating charts, her veil, the napkins, and more. These touches wove our personalities and love into every corner of the day.
Any tips for couples getting married?
We would say that love must be at the heart of every decision you make. Respect yourselves and stay true to your vision. Everyone has different tastes, so it’s important to follow your own desires and dare not to listen too much to others’ advice. Also, cherish the process—it goes by so quickly!
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
Absolutely. As we mentioned, we carefully chose each person for their artistic vision and unique contribution.
First, we want to sincerely thank and highlight the following people: Fiori Felici, Silvia, our florist. A sensitive and caring woman with whom we have formed a true friendship. We discovered her on Instagram, as she was a florist in the Pesaro region. She grows her flowers directly in her own field. Her eco-conscious and heartfelt approach truly charmed us. We only had seasonal flowers to choose from, and that was exactly what we were looking for: something meaningful. Moreover, she perfectly captured every little detail and desire we had. Thank you!
Coucou Studio Love, Annabelle, our photographer. Discreet, efficient, and incredibly original and talented. We loved her vibrant and spontaneous photos. We couldn’t imagine anyone else capturing our day. We don’t like stiff posing, and the thought of traditional wedding photos really stressed us. She immortalized the best moments of the day, and every photo instantly brings us back to the emotions of those moments! She is simply amazing.
Atelier Proximité, Mélody, our seamstress. A perfect executor who combines attentive listening and expertise to create the most beautiful wedding dress. She and Anna were simply wonderful and helped Laetitia have the dress of her dreams!
Our DJ friends from Club Katel, Swann, Clément, and Félix, as well as DJ Koren, Ron, who kept the party alive all night with Italo disco and techno beats. They even brought a smoke machine for extra fun!
And then there’s Antonio from Villa Torraccia, the owner of our reception venue. A gentleman, perfectionist, artist, and utterly charming. He treated us like his grandchildren and supported every one of our wild ideas. The venue dates back to the 15th century, and Antonio works tirelessly to maintain it, with its magnificent garden and countless antique details and pieces he’s collected over the years—making the place unique and enchanting, almost alive.
