Tell us a little about yourselves!

We met six years ago in Milan, in a club, and from that night we’ve been inseparable, it truly was love at first sight.

I’m originally from Bologna, but I’ve been living in Milan for the past 12 years, working in fashion. Niccolò is from Rome, with Greek roots, and he’s general manager in a logistics company. We’re deeply in love since day one, and we’ve always been very clear about our goals in life. That’s probably why everything in our relationship has always felt so natural and effortless from the very beginning.

Deciding to get married was simply the most natural step for us and now, after one year we couldn’t be happier.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

We chose to get married in Paxos because it truly feels like our place of the heart. It’s such a magical and unique island. Every time we’re there, we feel completely at peace, as if everything slows down and falls into place.

It also holds a very special meaning for us because Niccolò proposed there the summer before, during one of our holidays. So when it came to choosing where to celebrate such an important moment, there was no question there couldn’t have been a more meaningful or perfect place to share this day with all our loved ones.

How many guests did you have?

We were 90 guests, about ten family members and the rest close friends. It wasn’t just a wedding, but a true three-day celebration. Having this number of guests allowed us to really spend quality time with everyone and enjoy each moment together. It was truly unforgettable.

What was your budget?

Our budget felt just right for what we had in mind, it allowed us to create an experience where everyone could truly have fun and feel part of something special. Rather than focusing on a traditional setup, we chose to invest in the atmosphere and the shared moments, making the entire weekend in Paxos feel joyful, fun and full of love.

Tell us about your outfits.

We loved the idea of both wearing white. Since it was a beach wedding, we wanted something fresh, comfortable, and easy to move in, outfits that would let us feel completely free throughout the night.

Niccolò chose a white linen suit by Suit Supply, perfectly suited to the setting, while I went for a more fitted, mermaid-style look. I must have tried on around thirty dresses, only to end up wearing the very first one I tried — a dress by Rat and Boa. It hugged my body perfectly and, most importantly, it was incredibly practical.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

The most important thing for us was simply to be ourselves, to create something that truly reflected who we are and what we love. We have attended quite a few weddings, and we knew right away that following a traditional script was not our story. If something did not feel like us, we simply chose not to include it, focusing on building a celebration that felt completely authentic. We got married surrounded by the magic of the sea, under the moonlight and candlelight, in a setting where simplicity, natural beauty and our deep love for each other were the true highlights.

Throughout the entire planning process, we were careful to never lose sight of that feeling.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

For us, the most important thing was that it would be an unforgettable weekend for everyone, so entertainment was absolutely essential and never missing.

For Niccolò, it was non negotiable to have a boat party the day before the wedding, and I have to say it turned out to be one of the most fun moments of the entire celebration.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Do what feels right for you and stay as true as possible to who you are. Getting married is a big industry, and being constantly bombarded with ideas, algorithms, suggestions and endless possibilities can easily make you lose focus.

Our advice is to always remember that yes, it will be a magical day to plan and built, but above all it is a celebration of the love between two people who are choosing each other forever. Everything else is just the frame around it.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

We organised everything using vendors based on the island of Paxos, with the exception of Paola, our photographer, who travelled with us from Milan.

Planning a wedding from a distance, working with local Greek vendors, was not always simple, but it was truly a fun and rewarding experience. Fotini, our florist and planner, and Pelopas, the owner of Anassa, our venue, became real friends throughout the process, which made everything even more special and personal.
