Tell us a little about yourselves!
We first met in 2018 in an Italian language course, and our connection was instant, as if destiny had brought us together. We shared a dream of studying in Italy, and while I had been accepted into a design program, Omer had to put his plans on hold.
For several years, we nurtured a long-distance relationship, meeting in Florence every few weeks, exploring Italy, and cherishing every moment hand in hand. During my final year, we finally reunited and began living together in Florence.
One magical Saturday morning in August 2024, during a quiet breakfast for just the two of us, Omer proposed, and from that moment, our hearts began dreaming of our wedding day.
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
After visiting several locations, we chose to celebrate our wedding at a charming farmhouse nestled in the hills of Siena, Italy, run by a family as a rustic Tuscan agriturismo. Our vision was to create a magical weekend with our family and closest friends, among green vineyards and wide fields, gathering memories and sharing moments that would stay with us forever. Although we are both originally from Israel, we knew we wanted to celebrate our love in a location that truly reflects the deep bond between us and there was no more perfect location than Tuscany.
How many guests did you have?
From the very beginning, we envisioned a small, intimate celebration. With just 62 guests, we spent an entire weekend at the farmhouse, embracing every precious moment with those who had traveled from afar to share in our joy. It was a truly magical opportunity to step away from the rhythm of everyday life, immerse ourselves completely in the celebration, and connect deeply with one another.
What was your budget?
Our vision was to create a deeply personal and communal celebration that truly reflected who we are as a couple. We were involved in every aspect of the planning from the initial concept to the smallest detail, choosing to do everything ourselves without an external planner. We were blessed with incredibly talented and generous families who wholeheartedly supported us, offering their skills and enthusiasm for every idea that came to life during the preparations. With a modest budget and an abundance of creativity, we crafted an experience that felt complete and authentic - one that not only fulfilled our dream but also brought us even closer together as a family.
Tell us about your outfits.
I envisioned a harmonious look with a vintage-inspired feel, crafted from natural and elegant fabrics.
Omer wore a white linen button-down shirt paired with a relaxed-cut cotton blue suit, effortlessly refined and true to his style. Instead of a tie, we chose a small silk scarf as a colorful accessory around his neck.
The wedding dress was my own original design. I found the natural duchess silk fabric, full of sheen and in an elegant pearl tone, in an old fabric shop in Florence. I spent three months sewing the gown, and the result was timeless and refined. In addition, I crafted a lace veil by hand and paired the look with red heels for a bold, contrasting touch.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
We spent six months planning our wedding, and the most important commitment for us was working together as a team. Throughout the process, we made a conscious effort to savor the journey, rather than focusing solely on the final outcome. As the planners of our own celebration, we thoughtfully divided responsibilities according to each of our strengths, allowing us to naturally complement one another every step of the way.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
It was important to us to create an experience full of life and emotion. We invited musicians to accompany us both during the ceremony and throughout the aperitivo, playing Italian and international classics that got everyone moving, with a glass of Prosecco in hand and smiles stretched from ear to ear.
The wedding meal was carefully crafted with the farmhouse’s chef, featuring seasonal delicacies that had everyone licking their fingers. Finally, the DJ kept the party going all night long, spinning hip-hop bits at the bride’s request.
Any tips for couples getting married?
Be true to yourselves, follow your gut, and try to stay close to your honest and authentic desires. There is no single “right” way to plan a wedding; this is your opportunity to create an experience from scratch that truly reflects who you are.
Take the time at the beginning to imagine moments during the event and ask yourselves: Who do I see around me? What is the atmosphere we are in? Which elements do I see or hear in the background? Try to sketch out a rough scenario, then break it down into components and start working on it step by step. After all, reality is shaped by our thoughts and imagination.
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
Martina Boggian - We discovered Martina’s profile on Instagram by chance and instantly fell in love with her sensitive and highly professional visual style. There was something truly special in the way she documented moments a storytelling quality that captured our hearts. When we reached out, we found a warm and generous personality. Together with Alex, the photographer, we received an incredible team, and the photos turned out beyond anything we could have imagined.
Alfjo Greco - We first met Alfi at a café in Piazza della Repubblica, Florence, where he regularly performs. When planning the wedding, we knew it would be deeply sentimental to have him play for us. He accompanied us to the ceremony, and his performances, alongside singer Daniela during the aperitivo, made the atmosphere truly unforgettable.
Fattoria di Corsignano - The farmhouse was the perfect choice for us. They welcomed us and our families with warmth and went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests. In addition, Elena and Elisa supported us from the very beginning of the planning process and were always available for any questions or guidance.
Jerry Brown - We discovered Jerry by chance while browsing Instagram. The DJ, who lives and creates in Siena, was everything we had dreamed of. It was important for us to find someone who plays: hip-hop, Afrobeat, dancehall, amapiano etc and it felt as if we were manifesting him to be part of our celebration. He threw an unforgettable party with incredible music that had everyone dancing until sunrise.
Chiara Bianciardi from Flowers di Chiara - Chiara was responsible for the floral arrangements at the ceremony and the table designs. She did an amazing job, and despite a modest budget, we were able to plan and create floral designs together that perfectly complemented the Tuscan landscape, harmonizing with its natural beauty.
Ayna Fisenko - I chose Ayna to be my makeup artist and hairstylist, and she truly did a wonderful job. We coordinated our expectations in advance, and I shared the style I loved. On the morning of the wedding, she arrived with all her professional equipment, and in less than three hours, my makeup and hair were complete. I was extremely happy with the final result.
