Tell us a little about yourselves!

We are Katie and Chris and we live in Los Angeles, CA with our two dogs, a Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix named Rhonda and a Pomeranian named Ridley. We met three years ago at All Seasons Brewing Co. and Chris proposed in our backyard last September.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

When we were figuring out our wedding plans we knew three things had to be true: we wanted our favorite people, in an amazing place, with wonderful food, so we built our celebrations around that. We also wanted our ceremony to feel like us and didn't feel tied to a traditional wedding, so we chose City Hall and kept it intimate!

How many guests did you have?

Two witnesses at City Hall - Katie's twin sister, Megan and her husband John. Plus Katie's parents were waiting outside!

Don Angie - 47 people total.

Tell us about your outfits.

Katie: For City Hall, Katie wore a tailored coat from The Frankie Shop made to fit more like a dress and Dolce Vita satin mules. For the reception, Katie wore a set from Lein - a silk oversized button down with an embroidered skirt overlay. She wore the same Dolce Vita shoes because they were so comfortable! (But she did change into sneakers to walk back to the hotel after the party). Earrings for both days were Astrid and Miyu and Katie bought them when she came to the city for her hair and makeup trial (Pearl Charm Hoops for City Hall and Chain Link Drop Studs for Don Angie). Lastly she wore her grandmother's diamond bracelet for both events.

Chris: Chris wore a classic black Reiss suit to both events. He also wore a Shinola watch, suspenders from a local NY shop, and Thursday Boots.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

Like we mentioned above, we wanted our celebrations to feel like us and didn't feel tied to a traditional wedding. We didn't want to feel overwhelmed or chaotic so we liked the idea of spreading things out a bit and savoring each moment. That's why we chose to do City Hall on Friday and the party at Don Angie on Saturday. Everything came together really smoothly and we got to celebrate for an extended period of time which was so fun!

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

Here are some elements we wanted to be sure to incorporate:

Katie wore her grandmother's bracelet which every bride in her family has worn to their wedding.

We wanted to capture the moment of walking out of the City Hall doors

We told Sylvie that we really wanted to capture candid moments of people enjoying the actual food at

Don Angie because it is so good.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Stay true to what you want and try not to be swayed by outside opinions. We feel so confident that we got to experience this huge milestone in the way that felt best to us.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

We loved our team so much! It was really important to us to find vendors who felt like friends - we wanted the energy to be easy and fun and relaxed! And honestly, we nailed it. Being with Sylvie Rosokoff, Austin Wyatt, Olivia Garvin and Gabrielle Kim on the actual days was amazing (and they were so helpful along the way). And the team at Don Angie was wonderful.
