Tell us a little about yourselves!

We met in January 2019 at Le Siempre, a bar where a simple evening unexpectedly turned into the beginning of our story. “Siempre” means always in Spanish, which makes the memory of that moment feel even more special to us today.

We are both originally from the South of France and share a love for beautiful places, good food and meaningful moments with the people we love. Our relationship is built on a balance of spontaneity and attention to detail, which naturally influenced the way we approached our wedding. We both appreciate style, simplicity and authenticity, and organising the wedding ourselves allowed us to create a celebration that truly reflected who we are.

For us, the most important things in life are the experiences we share together, whether it’s travelling, discovering new places or simply spending time with friends and family. Our wedding was a reflection of that: a joyful moment bringing together the people who matter most to us.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

Being both originally from the South of France, it felt very natural for us to celebrate our wedding there. We wanted the day to take place in a setting that felt familiar and meaningful to us, while also allowing our friends and family to experience the beauty and atmosphere of the region.

On the morning of the wedding, before the ceremony, we took some time for a photo session at Le Mas Candille, the hotel where we were staying. The setting was incredibly peaceful and elegant, which created a beautiful moment to pause together before the celebrations began.

Our civil ceremony then took place at Mairie du Cannet, giving the day a wonderful sense of intimacy and authenticity as we exchanged our vows surrounded by our closest family and friends. Afterwards, we continued the celebration at Le Park Mougins, a venue we instantly fell in love with. Surrounded by nature and bathed in the soft Mediterranean light, it perfectly captured the atmosphere we wanted to create: elegant, relaxed and joyful.

How many guests did you have?

We had around 100 guests joining us for the celebration. It felt like the perfect balance: intimate enough to spend meaningful time with everyone, but lively enough to create a real sense of celebration.

What was your budget?

We worked with a carefully considered budget (under 25 000€), prioritising the elements that mattered most to us: the atmosphere, the setting and the experience shared with our guests.

Tell us about your outfits.

As two grooms, we didn’t feel the need to follow traditional wedding dress codes. From the beginning, we wanted our outfits to reflect our personalities and our shared sense of style rather than conform to expectations. None of us wore white. It simply didn’t feel like us. Instead, we chose looks that felt elegant, modern and effortless.

Francis wore a camel virgin wool suit by Sandro, paired with an ecru merino wool turtleneck and a beige and brown pocket square by Hugo Boss. The look was completed with bi-colour tassel loafers in brown and off-white by Jacques Solovière and a Cartier Tank watch, which added a timeless touch.

Hugo chose a grey cold-wool suit by Faubourg Saint-Sulpice, styled with black loafers by Bobbies and a Rolex Datejust watch. As a discreet and personal detail, he had our initials embroidered inside the jacket; something only we knew was there, but which made the piece even more meaningful.

Our outfits were different but complementary, which felt very natural to us. We loved the idea of approaching our wedding fashion in a relaxed yet refined way. Something timeless that still felt personal.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

The most important aspect for us was creating an atmosphere that felt deeply personal and intentional.

From the very beginning, we wanted the day to reflect our aesthetic and our way of celebrating: something elegant, relaxed and effortlessly joyful rather than overly traditional.

When we discovered Le Park Mougins, it immediately resonated with us. The space has such a distinctive character and a beautiful balance between nature and architecture, which perfectly matched the mood we had in mind. Every decision that followed was guided by this feeling: creating a celebration that felt natural, stylish and warm, where our guests could truly enjoy the moment and where every detail contributed to a cohesive and memorable experience.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

One of the most important elements for us was making sure that the entire celebration felt personal and authentic. Since we organised the wedding ourselves, we were able to be involved in every detail and carefully shape the atmosphere of the day.

It was also important for us not to feel constrained by traditional wedding codes. As two grooms, we wanted the celebration — including our outfits — to reflect our personalities and our own vision of elegance, rather than follow expectations.

We also placed a lot of importance on the experience we shared together throughout the day. Staying side by side as much as possible allowed us to truly live every moment together and create memories that we both experienced at the same time.

Finally, choosing meaningful places in the South of France, where we are both originally from, was essential. From the morning preparations and photos to the ceremony and celebration, each location contributed to creating a day that felt intimate, elegant and deeply connected to who we are.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Our biggest advice would be to stay true to what feels right for you as a couple. It’s easy to feel influenced by traditions or expectations, but the most memorable weddings are the ones that genuinely reflect the personalities of the couple getting married.

Our advice would be to focus on the atmosphere you want to create and on the experience you want your guests to have, rather than trying to follow too many rules or Instagram trends.

One thing that was very important to us on the day was to stay together as much as possible. It can be tempting to go in different directions to greet guests or manage different moments, but sharing the day side by side makes the memories even more special — you experience everything together, and those moments become truly shared memories.

And most importantly, take a moment during the day to pause and really take it all in together. It goes by incredibly quickly.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

We would especially love to mention our photographers, Clarisse & Johan Wedding Photography. We first met them a few years ago at the wedding of very close friends, and we were immediately struck not only by the beauty of their work, but also by their warm and genuine personalities.

When it came time to plan our own wedding, choosing them felt completely natural. They have a wonderful way of blending professionalism with a very human and reassuring presence, which made us feel instantly comfortable in front of the camera.

Their photographic approach is both artistic and natural, capturing moments as they unfold without ever feeling intrusive. They have a real sensitivity for light, emotion and atmosphere, and we love how they documented the day with such elegance and authenticity. Looking back at the photos truly feels like reliving the emotions of the day.
