Real Wedding | Arpy + Daniel

Tell us about yourselves!

I'm Arpy, a 31-year-old hailing from the wilds of Russia, with a spicy Armenian background and a Colombian husband. Talk about a cultural mashup! Now, let me set the record straight—I wasn't your typical girly-girl with visions of wedding bliss dancing in her head. But life has a funny way of throwing curveballs, and mine came in the form of a chance encounter with my now-husband in a stats class back in 2015. Fast forward, and here I am, living it up with a passion for all things design, fashion, beauty, and jet-setting adventures. Life's full of surprises, and I'm here for every unexpected twist and turn it throws my way. Cheers to embracing the chaos and falling in love along the way!

Why did you get married where you did?

From the instant our eyes landed on La Venta Inn, we were smitten. Nestled on a cliff with a breathtaking vista of the ocean and the sprawling cityscape of Los Angeles as its backdrop, it was love at first sight. Surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant blooms in every direction. What truly stole our hearts, though, was the venue's undeniable charm, oozing with character and steeped in a century's worth of history. La Venta was everything we had dreamed of – intimate, enchanting, and boasting an unparalleled view that left us utterly mesmerized.

How many guests did you have?

We had 60 guests. Kristine and Charles captured our day.

What was your budget?

Our budget was 80k.

Tell us about your outfits!

Arpy wore a timeless Katherine Tash gown named Jane, paired with beige Gucci embellished kitten heels. Her accessories included pearl and gold earrings, a diamond tennis bracelet, and a pinky ring, complementing her stunning engagement ring and band.

Daniel wore a sleek black Dior tuxedo, and matching Dior shoes. His accessories included a two-tone 41mm Jubilee Datejust Rolex, as well as a white gold Cuban link bracelet and chain.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

I aimed for everyone to feel carefree and full of excitement, devoid of stress on the big day. I sought to release the notion of perfection and let the day unfold naturally, cherishing the memories made. Above all, I desired everything to resonate as a true reflection of us.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

Incorporating natural elements was crucial for us. We utilized rocks from the site of our engagement as table number placements and smaller rocks as decor accents on each guest's menu. Our wedding cake was elegantly displayed on a beautiful natural stone. Overall, we aimed for a natural and organic design theme to showcase our style.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Make sure this is truly what you both want and not just something you feel obligated to do! Let it reflect your unique personalities and style, and don't let outside opinions sway your decisions on your special day. Set a realistic budget, and remember to leave some wiggle room because things tend to cost more than anticipated. Most importantly, have fun and cherish each other throughout the entire process.
