Real Wedding | Amanda + Jake

Amanda and Jake are both from Maryland, Baltimore and met 7 years ago when their friends set them up. They didn’t hit it off at first, but then re-connected a few months later and were inseparable. Since meeting, the pair have travelled many places outside and inside of the US and also lived in LA for a while. 'Exploring other places is important to us, but Baltimore is our home. Our family includes our dog Roo, cat Crush and lizard Johnny, as well as every other person that came to our wedding. '

The couple decided to get married at Mt.Washington Dye House with the bride wearing a gown and cape from Lovely Bride. They celebrated with 120 guests and loved the space as it felt dreamy and intimate. Capturing their day was Caitlyn Taylor from Coral Dove Photography with planning from Eight Seven Events.

It was important for the couple to stay true to themselves on their day. 'I wanted to keep it minimal but still have something exciting, which I think was the cape. Jake chose to wear Doc Martens because he felt stylish, but still himself. The music, the vibes during the ceremony and that it all felt very “us”. We told everyone to dress as wild as they wanted!'

What piece of advice would they give to other couples getting married? 'Enjoy every moment because it goes by fast. Everyone told us that and they were right!'
