Tell us about your business! 

Hi, I’m Simone! I’m a wedding photographer and Super 8 videographer for couples who love color and nostalgia. I shoot on film whenever possible to create an analogue dream world for my clients. 

Where are you based? 

I am based in Los Angeles. 

Do you travel for weddings? 

Absolutely! I feel so lucky to have a career that allows me to travel, and I will go just about anywhere to capture your wedding. I also travel to Greece every summer, so my travel fees within Europe are reduced during the summer months. 

Where would you love to travel to for work? 

I’d love to work in some of my favorite places: the Greek Islands, Brazil, Joshua Tree, and New Mexico. These are all places I know and love dearly, and it would be an absolute dream to capture a wedding in any. 

How would you describe your style? 

My wedding photography is mostly candid, though my background in fashion photography provides an artful and editorial feel. My photos are often colorful, dreamy, and fun. 

What inspires you? 

All things vintage! I collect vintage clothing and spend my free time in Los Angeles theaters that screen old movies (sometimes on film!). I love the colors, the fashion, the architecture…everything. My favorite director is David Lynch, and I love films that are campy, surreal, and imaginative. I am also inspired by nature, especially the seaside and the desert. 

How would you describe your working style? 

My working style is easygoing, yet attentive and attuned to the intricacies of a wedding day. I tend to take a fly on the wall approach, but I am always happy to chat with a wedding guest or provide guided posing for couples if needed. 

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both? 

Both! I’ve been shooting film for 15 years, and it will always be my preference. I have several 35mm and medium format cameras that I interchange based on the scenario. I also shoot some digital to supplement, especially in low light situations. All of my wedding films are shot on Super 8mm.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs? 

Yes! I have base packages, but they are all customizable.

Who is your dream client? 

My dream client is someone who is design-forward and loves the same things I do, whether it’s a funky colorful venue, a vintage bridal gown, or 1970s music. I love being able to connect on interests with my clients. It gets me especially hyped to capture their day.
