Heather Lynn Photo photographs weddings with a documentary heart, using both digital and film to preserve the feeling of a day as it was truly lived. She values presence over perfection, allowing genuine moments, meaningful details, and human connection to lead the way while gently guiding when inspiration strikes. Based on the West Coast of the United States, Heather Lynn Photo is available for weddings across the U.S. and around the world.


What would you like couples to know about you? 


My hope is to be a person of peace, joy, and ease. I’m intuitive, an observer, and deeply value history, storytelling, and honesty. I’m inspired most by nostalgia, nature, and the heart.


Where are you based? 


I have roots in both Seattle and Southern California.


Do you travel for weddings? 


Yes! I’ve had the honor of traveling all over the US and would love to continue in my travels.


How would you describe your style? 


Honest, Poetic, Thoughtful, Unhurried, Down-to-Earth, Heart Led, Instinctive, Observant, Creative. I like to think of myself as a little butterfly catcher… inviting moments of connection to flutter in front of me, and catch them in my own special way. I'm also always thinking about the gallery as a whole while I photograph. Every detail, landscape, gesture, and fleeting interaction becomes part of a larger story, so I photograph with the final experience in mind, creating a collection of images that feels cohesive, immersive, and true to the day.


What inspires you? 


Old family heirlooms and photographs, time, talking with a stranger, nature, traveling, old married couples, a cup of tea and a good book. Oh what wonder!


Do you shoot digitally, on film or both? 


I shoot both but film has and always will be at the forefront of my work. My hope is to create a cohesive dance between the two in final galleries.


Do you have custom packages according to individual needs? 


Yes, most of my packages are custom based on the needs of each event and couple.


Where would you love to travel to for work? 


I’d love to travel to Scandinavia, Maine, Montana, Wyoming, Mexico, I could go on and on!


What is your advice to couples getting married? 


Stay true to you. Tell your story. Stay present. Take deep breaths. Let go. You are enough. Remember what really matters. Be intentional. Feel it all. Grace abounds.
