What would you like couples to know about you?

I’m a wedding photographer and filmmaker based in Colorado who documents love stories all over the world. I work with both digital and film mediums and have a particular affinity for medium format photography and super8 videography. Prior to capturing weddings, I was a photojournalist and worked throughout the Middle East and Europe.

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely. I specialize in international destination weddings.

How would you describe your style?

Unexpected. Editorial. Playful. Luxurious.

What is your most memorable career moment?

Shooting a surprise engagement on film in Lake Como, Italy and spending the entire weekend exploring Como with my couple. Cultivating personal relationships with my clients is extremely important to me. Familiarity breeds confidence and collaboration and in my experience, always yields more intimate and unique work.

What inspires you?

The opportunity to tell someone’s love story comprehensively. The unique choices each couple makes in the execution of their wedding day. The incredible range of emotions that manifest as the day unfolds. And of course, the fashion!

What motivates you to do what you do?

I’m a natural born storyteller, and photography and filmmaking are extremely interesting to me as narrative mediums. I’m deeply moved by the marriage of journalism and the visual arts, and I think wedding photography and videography rest at the precipice of that marriage.

I also really, really love making people feel beautiful.

How would you describe your working style?

I always say that I take fancy photos, but I’m not a terribly fancy or formal person. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my clients throughout the planning process. On the wedding day, my goal is always to maximize my clients’ time at their wedding. I’m keenly aware that photography is not the reason we are there, but rather an opportunity to remember the reason we are there. I want to be as unobtrusive to the wedding day as possible, while also blending in with the experience. I will absolutely sit my camera down (or more likely, hand it to a kid and encourage them to experiment!) while having a glass of wine with my clients’ family and friends.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

Both. Everything. Anything! I absolutely love exploring new mediums and collaborating creatively with my couples.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

I have base packages, but almost always curate bespoke experiences based on my clients’ visions.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

My film photography, because it’s what my couples appreciate and cherish the most and it’s where I feel most at peace with my work.

Who is your dream client?

I love working with creative clients who are open minded, interested in collaboration, and completely untethered to and unencumbered by the expectations of the industry, their family, and their friends. In other words, clients who are supremely true to themselves who aren’t afraid to do things a bit differently.
