What would you like couples to know about you?

With over a decade of experience and being internationally recognized as one of the 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography by New York's Rangefinder Magazine, we combine documentary approach with an editorial vibe to give you one-of-a-kind imagery that captures the true essence of your wedding day.

We’ve been photographing weddings for 12 years, starting locally to us but fully moved into the destination wedding space because it’s just that great combination of travelling, photographing weddings at gorgeous venues across Europe and meeting such diverse couples from the whole world. When we’re not photographing weddings we’re either spending time with our dog or travelling to more or less hidden places around the world.

Where are you based?

We’re based in Slovenia, Europe but spend all our wedding season between Italy, France, Switzerland and other popular destination wedding locations across Europe.

Do you travel for weddings?

Of course,we only photograph destination weddings, so we travel for each and every wedding we photograph. We’re available Europe-wide.

How would you describe your style?

Our approach is what we like to call 'refined documentary' with an editorial vibe. We like to blend in  during the day to capture all the honest moments, the in-betweens, the tight hugs, long kisses and tears of joy in a pure documentary way. However, we’re also there to direct you into the best light and background during your wedding portraits, for those editorial photos, but we never interrupt an authentic moment. Even during the wedding portraits we love to capture the in-betweens that show the real true connection of the two of you with a mix of editorial vibe imagery to complete the gallery.

What is your most memorable career moment?

Our personal most memorable career moment was being named one of the 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography by New York’s Rangefinder Magazine. It’s like the Oscars, but for wedding photography and something we wanted to achieve for years prior.

What inspires you?

People, our travels, architecture and just all the beautiful places our work takes us. For the final gallery we always drive inspiration from our couples, everything they planned and their vibe and the beautiful authentic moments that happen on the wedding day.

How would you describe your working style?

Before the wedding day we love to help you optimise your wedding timeline, so we can have enough time for everything photo-wise without rushing you and optimising for the best light as well. On the wedding day we love to blend in with your guests for a big part of the wedding day to capture those honest, authentic moments. However, we also guide you during a part of the day to get the best light and background for your portraits. We would show you the best spot for getting ready, find the most gorgeous spots for your portraits with the best light and of course direct you through the portraits, but mostly we want you to be present and enjoy your day. This is not a photoshoot and we don’t want you to feel like it is, it’s your wedding day!

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

We photograph both! Our main focus is digital however, we always love adding a few rolls on film if our couples would like. It just has a different vibe!

Who is your dream client?

Our dream clients are couples who plan a destination wedding in a way to include everything they love and exclude anything they might not want to have on their wedding day. Couples that love fashion and documentary photography however, still love those editorial vibe portraits in the beautiful warm light. Couples that are attentive to all the tiny details during planning but don’t forget to have fun and be in the moment when it comes to the wedding day.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

When you’re finding your vendors make sure you’re selecting those that connect to what you’re looking for and the style of your wedding day. When you’re choosing your wedding photographer make sure to find the best fit, both the way we photographers capture the moments and the way they edit. Ask yourself “can I imagine myself in these photographs”? If the answer is yes, you’ve  probably found your photographer! Don’t be afraid to ask for full galleries and request a video call  prior to your decision, so you can see if you truly found the best fit for what you’re looking for.
