talc is a London based bridal accessories studio creating modern veils and headpieces for contemporary brides. Founded by designer and artist Ann-Marie Williamson, the brand sits between fashion and art. Each piece is designed with a strong focus on material, form and texture, resulting in accessories that feel refined, understated and quietly expressive. talc is launching a new collection at the end of March and will be at the London Wedding Show, as well as at the Bridal Assembly at Barcelona Bridal Week.

What would you like couples to know about your business?

Accessories can completely transform how someone feels on the day. My pieces are designed to complement the wearer rather than dominate the look - subtle, considered details that elevate an outfit while still feeling effortless. Everything is produced in small batches with a strong focus on craftsmanship and longevity.

Where is your studio based?

Our studio is based in East London, with pieces available online and through a selection of bridal boutiques worldwide.

Tell us about your newest collection!

My newest collection is a collaboration with contemporary bridal store The Fall Bride, launching at the end of the month. The collection features ten pieces including veils, lace sleeves and hair accessories. It has a very soft, romantic feel, with lots of delicate lace and dreamy textures. The pieces are designed to layer beautifully, adding subtle drama while still feeling light and effortless.

How would you describe your brand's style?

Modern, minimal and quietly romantic. The designs balance contemporary simplicity with delicate details.

Tell us about your favourite piece!

The Skye Headdress is a personal favourite. It’s designed for someone who knows their style and wants an accessory that makes an impact. I love pieces that completely transform a look, and this one does exactly that. Its bold, sculptural and unapologetically fashion- led. I also really enjoy making this piece. Sewing the small, intricate details is one of my favourite parts of the process.

Where are your gowns/jewellery pieces made?

Everything is made either in our studio in East London or by our amazing seamstress Cheryl who’s studio is in Newcastle in the North East of England.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

My favourite service is the bespoke offering through talc Bespoke. I love how personal and collaborative the process is. Often clients come to me with something deeply meaningful, like an antique family veil that may be fragile or in disrepair, and we work together to carefully restore or reinterpret it into a new piece. Other times the brief is something entirely unique, like creating a dramatic three tier lace veil designed specifically for their look. Those projects are always special because the final piece carries both personal history and a completely new story.

What inspires you or inspired your latest collection?

The latest collection was inspired by the romantic qualities of lace and explores softness, movement and sculptural detail. I wanted the pieces to feel dreamy and slightly ethereal, with movement and texture playing a big role. Working closely with The Fall Bride also influenced the direction - thinking about the kinds of brides they work with and creating pieces that feel both fashion-led and timeless.

Alongside the studio, I maintain an independent contemporary art practice.  The constant exploration of cloth, surface and material sensitivity subtly informs the way I approach texture, form and concept within the studio, and that influence naturally feeds into how each piece is formed and how each collection evolves.

Who is your dream client?

Zoe Kravitz! I would love to work with someone with such a strong sense of style. Although she could literally wear anything and still look good.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Try not to get caught up in expectations. The most memorable weddings are the ones that reflect the couple’s personalities and feel relaxed and true to them. Just be yourself.
