Tell us about your business!

Hi, I’m Nina, a London-based wedding photographer. My photography journey began unexpectedly. I started my career as a software developer, which gave me a love for detail and structure. However, I soon discovered my real passion was capturing people and their stories.

I explored different styles, but weddings captured my heart, and since 2017, I’ve been a full-time wedding photographer. There’s something magical about documenting the range of emotions and unique moments on a couple’s special day. Every wedding tells a new story, and I’m thrilled to capture it through my lens.

Where are you based?

I’m based in London, UK, and originally from Belarus, which adds a lovely multicultural touch to my approach.

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely! I love travelling across the UK and throughout Europe.

How would you describe your style?

I’m a storyteller and love blending different styles. During the ceremony and reception, I focus on capturing candid moments. For couple portraits, I may offer gentle guidance, and when the party starts, I enjoy creating flash editorial shots. Also, I love order and simplicity, which influences my clean and timeless style. In short: timeless documentary photography with a touch of elegance.

What inspires you?

I’m fascinated by everything humans create — architecture, art, technology, fashion — it all excites me!

When it comes to weddings, I’m especially inspired by connections between people. Whether it’s a hug from your parents, a couple spontaneously dancing, or friends cheering you on, I’ll always make sure those moments are captured.

And let’s be honest — a bride’s dress and the flowers always take my breath away too!

How would you describe your working style?

I once heard about two types of photographers: visionaries, who plan what they want to create, and reactionaries, who respond to the moments and people in front of them. I’m definitely a reactionary photographer.

Most of my photos focus on documenting the flow of the day. For couple and family portraits, I’m happy to step in and guide where needed, but mostly I prefer to stay in the background and be as unobtrusive as possible — letting you enjoy your day while I capture it naturally.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

I shoot digitally for its flexibility, but I adore the timeless charm of film. That’s why I include complimentary rolls of 35mm film for every couple — adding a unique and special touch to their gallery.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

I’ve always been fascinated by ancient Egyptian culture and would love to photograph a minimalist wedding near the pyramids. Lately, I’ve also been dreaming of a wedding on a charming Italian street, with tables set right along the street itself.

Who is your dream client?

I love working with couples who see their wedding as a deeply meaningful and emotional event, not just a photo session or performance. I also appreciate couples who trust the process and enjoy the day, knowing the best photos come naturally. Somehow, those couples always seem to find me.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

You set the tone for your wedding! Have fun, enjoy yourselves, and let your emotions shine. Your guests — and your photos — will reflect your joy perfectly. The day will fly by incredibly fast, so make sure to savour every moment and let go of little stresses. Those won’t be what you want to remember!
