Tell us a little about yourselves!
We’re big believers in laughing often, traveling far, and diving headfirst into the work we love—always with a sense of play and curiosity. Life’s too short not to do what lights you up—and we’re here to make the most of every wild, beautiful or messy moment.
Who knew that one unexpected limo ride would lead to a lifetime together? Years later, that serendipitous ride has carried us through adventures, growth, and all the beautiful chaos life brings. From limo to lifetime… it’s been one unforgettable journey so far!
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
When we first visited the Olive Branch Ranch we got this beautiful overwhelming feeling of magic. The sage oaks, the gentle roll of the hills, the way the mulberry trees were woven into natural canopies overhead, where the sun set, it all spoke warmly to us. It felt so right as we were looking to be surrounded by the outdoors at a location our friends and family could travel to with ease. On our wedding day, we were transported into a different world with our nearest and dearest, a world that was entirely our own.
How many guests did you have?
120.
Tell us about your outfits.
As a wardrobe stylist this part was the most fun for me. I had firstly found my Vivienne Westwood dress at their trunk show with their new collection of wedding dresses. I saw the dress I chose originally in the photo and new it was the one. According to Raquele at Vivienne Westwood, I was the first to order the dress in the company. It felt so right. I wore Aquazzura satin heels that matched the tone of my dress perfectly. I wore a Vivienne Westwood short veil with lace trim.
My welcome party dress I found at Saint Lauren. I wanted something ethereal that felt like that Ojai energy. It was runway and I knew I needed it. It was 100% silk and the second I slipped it on it felt like butter. I loved the sheerness detail through the bottom. I wore the archive Jimmy Choo feather heels that Carrie wore when she lost her shoe in Sex And The City.
My second dress was a few years old from Saint Lauren that I loved from even before I was engaged. I scoured the internet religiously and no luck. I reached out to Gab Waller and they found the dress for me and shipped it to the States. I paired it with black Saint Lauren boogie heels.
Pro tip: Always line your heels with moleskin. Negative Underwear makes the best seamless nude thongs.
At the welcome party, Hayden wore a one-of-a-kind Bode yellow silk button down with Jacquemus white wide leg pants. The day before we went shopping and found him Bottega Veneta suede neutral sneakers just in time.
He also wore a Bode suit on the wedding day with lace embroidery and a Bode custom Coeur cutwork shirt with custom embroidery. Hayden's Mom, Rebecca, has passed away and I got his Mom's name embroidered on his right sleeve in cursive with a beautiful horseshoe motif with flowers weaving through on his pocket. His mom loved her horses and that was something very prominent in Hayden and her life. We paired it will Gucci loafers that were in between chunky and classic.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
Most importantly we wanted it to feel deeply personal and an authentic reflection of ourselves. It was meaningful to incorporate my brother, Satchel, who is a talented artist to do all things stationary infusing every piece with care and creativity that only someone who knows us well could offer. Yummy food was a priority along with the best craft cocktails as we wanted our guests to feel indulged and taken care of.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
We wanted to curate an element of surprise at our cocktail hour which ended up being synchronized swimmers and it was an unexpected, joyful moment that left everyone grinning. Mudari Creative really helped us craft our vision into reality and elevated it to the next level. Their dedication, creativity and execution made it all more beautiful than we could of imagined and was truly unparalleled, we love them!
Any tips for couples getting married?
Don’t stress on the small things-truly!! Some tiny details may seem so important in the moment but on the day, what matters most is, everyone is there to celebrate your love. Set the tone and let it be joyful and don’t leave the dance floor! You become the heartbeat and whatever energy you bring your guests will follow!
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
No one ever compliments the food at weddings but Duo Catering rose above the rest. Even weeks afterward, everyone couldn’t stop telling us how delicious it was. Rachel Santos was a dream to work with for photography. She really went the extra mile with a smile and came with the creativity. Mischief Elixirs seriously made the best craft cocktails I’ve ever had. I can still taste it.
Most obviously Mudari Creative killed it. They were incredible and the sweetest to work with. They really understood my vision and helped us execute it beautifully.
