Tell us a little about yourselves!

We are originally from California, moved to Texas during Covid, and never looked back. We met at my family’s winery, and nine months in we knew this was it. It still took Gino four years to propose, which he did in Kauai, at my parents home. We finished building our custom home and moved in the week after we got engaged.

We are big family people. We wanted a multi-day event so everyone we love could actually be around, not just show up for a few hours and leave. We leaned heavily on The Anti-Bride for inspo because we never wanted it to feel like a wedding. We wanted it to feel like a really good dinner party. A big dinner party sleepover in the south of France. That is exactly what it was.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

Honestly it started practical. Domaine Le Mezo was the only venue we found that could hold all of our family and friends on property. But once we saw it, that was it. Good food, beautiful property. It was the perfect mix of antique and modern.

How many guests did you have?

We had around 65 guests. I have 9 siblings and my husband has 6 so most of our guests were immediate family members, spouses, and kids, plus a few friends.

What was your budget?

Budget was never really a word in our vocabulary. We would look at something, decide if it felt worth it, and move on. Almost everything felt "worth it”, which was a problem haha.

Tell us about your outfits.

This took the longest. Finding something chic that worked for potential cold weather in France meant eleven months of ordering, returning, trying on, and hemming. I wanted pieces that felt timeless, things I could actually wear again. I think I pulled it off.

The rehearsal dinner outfit has a good story. It had been sold out for months, but three months out they did a quiet restock, no announcement, nothing. I had emailed them at some point and they just let me know. Perfect timing.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

I wanted it to feel easy and stress free and almost effortlessly put together. But still with class and sophistication.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

Music was non-negotiable. My husband used to produce music, so it was never just background noise for us, it was part of the day itself. Every moment needed the right sound behind it. We put a lot of thought into what was playing during dinner, during cocktail hour, during the ceremony. If the music felt off, the whole thing would have felt off. It never did.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Do not stress. The small things you are second guessing in the weeks before do not matter on the day. There were so many decisions I just let go of completely, told them to give me whatever was available and moved on. Your wedding should be the happiest day of your life. Mine was also one of the calmest and most grounded moments of mine.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

Bebi Videography and Olea Photography. I genuinely wish they were local because I would have them at every big moment for the rest of our lives. They came from Spain which gave us this perfect blend of artsy and modern while still feeling elegant and romantic in a way that matched France. But more than the work, they felt like family. They blended into our group, captured real emotions, nothing staged, nothing that did not feel like us. Completely worth it.
