Tell us a littl about yourselves!
We’ve been together for the last 10 years, and honestly, still feel like we hit the jackpot. Georgina’s a doctor, Andrew works in finance, but weekends are our time to slow down and get creative — whether that’s cooking something new, sourcing unique furniture, or just dreaming up our next adventure. We’re best friends before anything else, and the core of our relationship is radical honesty, a lot of laughs, and deep mutual respect.
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
We were originally planning to get married in Melbourne, but as time went on, it became clear that what mattered most was being surrounded by our closest family and friends — so we brought the wedding home to Adelaide. In a perfect world, we’d be having a long, lazy lunch somewhere in Italy, but since that wasn’t in the cards, we set out to recreate the vibe: stunning gardens, an unpretentious atmosphere, and strong aperitivo energy. The Adelaide Botanic Gardens and Latteria gave us exactly that — beautiful, personal, and just the right amount of chaos.
How many guests did you have?
120.
What was your budget?
Rightly or wrongly, we didn’t go into this with a set budget. We just chose things we loved as we went along and tried not to think too hard about the numbers. We haven’t done the final maths (and maybe we’re scared to), but it’s probably landed somewhere around $80K.
Tell us about your outfits.
Georgina wore a structured bodice and corset by Prea James, paired with gold Valentino heels — because white shoes were never on the cards. She styled it with a silk neck scarf for the reception, which she swapped out for a Natasha Schweitzer gold necklace with a pear citrine pendant for the ceremony. Everything felt classic, but with a twist that felt very her.
Andrew wore an ivory silk jacket with a wide, low shawl collar from P. Johnson, paired with authentic opera pumps from Morjas. Elegant, a little unexpected, and timeless in the right way.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
Being surrounded by the people we love was everything — the day was just as much about them as it was about us. We wanted it to feel relaxed and full of joy, like a celebration of love in every sense. Good food, lots of French champagne, strong cocktails, and a setting where everyone could feel completely at ease — that was the vibe we were going for. Nothing too formal, just real connection and a really good time.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
It was important that the day felt warm and welcoming, never performative. On a purely aesthetic level, Georgina had one non-negotiable: blue hydrangeas. In bulk. They added this soft, dreamy, slightly dramatic element that pulled everything together in such a beautiful way.
Any tips for couples getting married?
Don’t overthink it. Do what makes you happy — not what you think you're supposed to do. The day should feel like yours, not a performance.
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
All our vendors were wonderful! We would highly recommend them all to everyone.
