Wedding | Gabriella & Matthew

Tell us a little about yourselves!
Matthew and I live in Highgate, North London with our dog Andy. Matthew is a model, and I am an ex-model and now work in Media for BuzzFeed doing brand partnerships. We love playing tennis together, cooking, and taking Andy on walks. We met on the app Raya, typical 21st-century romance. We FaceTimed for 6 hours on the first day, and the next day we met in person. Matthew just walked up and kissed me, and I basically moved into his place that day and never left, lol.
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
We wanted something cosy, and that felt true to us, so we chose a local restaurant we love. We're known for having a house party and thought, why stop now! So we went back to our house for the afters.
How many guests did you have?
75
What was your budget?
30K.
Tell us about your outfits.
Outfits ... I had a few.
Getting ready, I wore a bespoke lingerie set from Remnants of Love with a robe from The Bridal Edition. My main dress was from Essense of Australia paired with a lace veil. I wanted a full lace outfit for the main look. Something quite classic in contrast to all my tattoos, etc, I'm actually quite reserved.
My party outfit was when the fun came to play. I wore a mini dress from The Bridal Edition. paired with a bespoke veil and flower bouquet from Silk Hearts Studio (they also did Matthew's buttonhole flower). The whole outfit tied together really nicely. I loved the bespoke elements that brought me so much joy, feeling like my late grandad and my dog Andy (honoured in the embroidery) could be close by too.
Shoes were from Realm , and I wore them with both outfits. Comfort first!
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
That I wouldn't have to plan it myself so I could enjoy the build-up and the day itself. Being able to actually enjoy the day rather than worrying about everything going to plan was really important to me. Having a great planner allowed me to do that.
Molly from Sage And Settle made my life a whole lot easier and was an absolute godsend!
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
Delicious food, great music, and, most importantly, having fun!
Any tips for couples getting married?
Enjoy the process. It all goes so quickly!
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
I really loved the bespoke elements from Remnants of Love and Silk Hearts Studio . I think the bespoke elements from both are such special keepsakes that make the day even more special.
And of course Jade, AKA Fruitcakes on Film, who captured our day in the most fun and outrageous way, which is definitely us in a nutshell. Having things that really reflect you as people is so important.
