Tell us a little about yourselves!

We met at university over eleven years ago, and then again at our first student job at a law firm — which quickly led to long days, shared deadlines, and countless drinks as colleagues who were clearly drawn to each other.

Our first date was hopelessly romantic: Valentine’s Day, framed by Frankfurt’s skyline. A little cheesy, but somehow exactly right. What followed was far less cinematic and much more real - yet always full of laughter and happiness: countless nights in the library finishing our law degrees, followed by sitting on the floor of our tiny one-room apartment, sharing instant ramen and figuring things out as we went.

Together, we built routines, careers, and a life - step by step, side by side - with a shared sense of humor, lots of coffee and wine, and the quiet certainty that this was always leading somewhere meaningful.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

On 059 in 069 captured exactly what we wanted the day to be about: celebrating our love where we feel at home. A wedding in the heart of Frankfurt, the city we love, surrounded by the people we love and who make up our life. We wanted the day to feel special, but still real. Elevated, yet familiar. Different from any other day, but rooted in the same streets, places, and rhythms that shape our lives.

Choosing the Palmengarten Frankfurt am Main in Frankfurt for our ceremony and KMH Restaurant for dinner felt like the perfect balance, calm and green in the middle of the city, followed by a space that reflects how we actually live, meet, and celebrate in our hometown.

How many guests did you have?

We celebrated with 70 guests. It felt wonderful and deeply special to have all our closest friends, people who have accompanied us through different chapters of our lives, together in one place.

What was your budget?

If we ever had a budget, we quickly let go of it. Instead, we focused on what truly mattered to us: creating the right atmosphere and prioritising great food and drinks.

Tell us about your outfits.

Flora - For the ceremony, I wanted something cool and clean, a look that felt right for a city wedding. I chose a simple, short dress with pockets: modern and effortless, paired with a long veil that added softness and movement without taking away from the simplicity of the silhouette. I kept the look minimal, but added colour through my shoes - a small detail that made it feel playful and very me.

For the evening, I changed into a look that felt made for the party - confident, modern, and with a little more sparkle than Gürkan might have expected from me.

Gürkan’s look followed a similar rhythm. For the ceremony, he wore a classic dark blue — timeless, sharp, and understated. As the celebration began, he changed into a light grey linen dinner jacket for the aperitif, introducing a softer, more relaxed feel. In the evening, he switched to a darker, more classic tuxedo jacket for dinner and the party, carrying the look effortlessly into the night.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

We wanted it to be a big celebration with all our friends — a day that was fun from start to finish, full of energy, laughter, and good moments all the way into the night.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

It was important to us that the day felt personal and familiar. We incorporated our own photos throughout the space, displayed our names across the glass front of the restaurant, and added small details that made the venue feel unmistakably ours.

One of our favourite moments was the walk from the aperitif to the reception — moving through the city together with our wedding guests. And later that night, Smash Burgers from our favourite spot,  Goldies Smashburgers, as a midnight snack felt like the perfect, very personal ending.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Let go of what a wedding is supposed to look like. Focus instead on how you want the day to feel. If your choices are rooted in who you are, the day will come together naturally and feel effortless. And above all, enjoy the day and every moment together.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed through their work to making our day so special and unforgettable. Our photographers Raissa & Simon deserve particular mention — they captured unforgettable moments for eternity with great sensitivity and calm.

We would also like to highlight our wedding venue. What impressed us most was how effortlessly the team transformed the space — turning a beloved scene restaurant into a wedding location that felt personal, warm, and intentional. After dinner, with the opening of the dance floor, the atmosphere shifted completely, and the space evolved once more — this time into a vibrant, club-like setting that carried the celebration late into the night.

We couldn’t be happier with how everything came together.
