Tell us a little about yourselves!
Jamie and I actually went to the same school (he’s a little older!), so that’s how we originally knew each other. We always stayed in touch over the years while living our own lives, traveling, and going to uni. But after I moved back from Australia, one flame emoji at a time, Jamie finally convinced me to go on a date and they say the rest is history.
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
It had always been a dream of mine to get married at my family home. The house has been in our family for generations, which made it all the more meaningful and special to be fortunate enough to celebrate our wedding there.
How many guests did you have?
140.
What was your budget?
£55,000 -£60,000.
Tell us about your outfits.
My dream dress, Vivienne Westwood, nothing else needs be said.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
Family and friends - just making sure we made the most of all our favourite people being in one place together.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
We made a real effort to ensure that everything about our wedding reflected us, not just what we thought others might expect. Music was a huge part of that. It's always been a big part of both our lives, and with my husband having worked for the British festival Lost Village, we knew we wanted to bring a fun, festival-inspired vibe to the day. That said, we also wanted to make sure the oldies enjoyed the music too. Strictly no 'Come On Eileen' allowed!"
Any tips for couples getting married?
Truly, just soak in every bloody moment, it all goes by so unbelievably fast. Your wedding day is one of the most magical experiences of your life, and we stayed wrapped in that beautiful ‘wedding bubble’ long after our special weekend had passed. You’ll find yourself reliving those moments again and again, which is why choosing the right photographer is so important. They’re the ones who will capture the emotions, the little glances, and the unforgettable memories, so that every time you look at your photos, you're right back in that incredible moment.
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
I thank all our vendors, as without them to day would not have been what it was.
