Tell us a little about yourselves!

We met in Boulder, Colorado during college and have been together for eight years. These days, we call New York City home, where we live with our puppy, Bruce, and spend our time traveling, eating, and enjoying each other’s company.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

We officially got married at the New York City courthouse a little over a year before our larger celebration. We had always imagined hosting our celebration somewhere meaningful, a place we could return to year after year and relive the memories.

Nick’s family has a home in the South of France, where we’ve spent the past five summers and created some of our favorite memories together. Between the incredible local food, landscape, and warm, welcoming people, it quickly became our favorite place. We couldn’t wait to share that part of the world with our guests and let them experience a summer at Gigaro Beach with us.

How many guests did you have?

We celebrated with 120 guests which for us, felt like the perfect number to keep the day feeling intimate yet full of energy.

Tell us about your outfits.

Bailee: I would describe my everyday style as simple and relaxed. When I was looking for my wedding dress, I knew I wanted a look that reflected my personal style, was comfortable, and something that I could possibly wear again. I landed on a two-piece set from Danielle Frankel. It felt reflective of my personal style but also elevated and interesting. I loved the idea of having a separate top that I could re-wear throughout the years.

Nick: I tend to have a relaxed sense of style and almost always prioritize comfort. For the wedding, I wanted something that felt formal but still true to who I am. I landed on a white tuxedo jacket paired with black suit trousers from Haitch - it felt elevated without feeling overdone.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

It was important to us to keep everything intentional and ensure each decision felt authentic and reflective of who we are. With guests traveling from all over the world, we also wanted to create an experience that allowed them to truly enjoy the region - not just the wedding day itself.

On Thursday, we organized a night out in Saint-Tropez so our friends could meet and get to know one another. Friday’s welcome dinner was held at our favorite restaurant in Ramatuelle, L’Éphémère, a perfect spot to gather everyone together and kick off the weekend over local food and wine.

For the wedding day, we were equally thoughtful about the timeline. We chose a later ceremony start time so that our guests had time to explore and unwind during the day.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

Our vision was for the evening to feel like one long, unforgettable dinner. When we go out to eat, we always order family-style and share everything, so serving our wedding dinner the same way felt completely natural. It was important that the meal reflected how we love to gather and celebrate together.

One of our favorite local bands, Hat Trick Acoustic, wandered between the tables during dinner, taking song requests from our guests. It created the most incredible atmosphere - everyone singing along, dancing between courses, and truly present in the moment. It felt intimate and joyful.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Keep coming back to the reason you’re getting married and try to truly enjoy the process along the way. Your engagement flies by, and it’s so easy to get caught up in the logistics and endless details. Whenever planning started to feel overwhelming, we reminded ourselves why we were doing it in the first place - to celebrate our love surrounded by our closest friends and family in one of our favorite places in the world.

On the wedding day itself, Nick and I made a conscious decision to stay by each other’s side as much as possible. It helped us feel grounded and present, and most importantly, like we were experiencing and celebrating the day together.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

Our florists, Kevin and Sohrab from Les Fleurs de Roussillon, are truly one-of-a-kind talents. Their creativity was incredible, and their ability to think quickly and adapt seamlessly made everything feel effortless and beautifully executed.

Our photographer, Meggy Mac Photography, truly felt like a best friend throughout the entire weekend. She knew exactly how to make us feel comfortable and at ease - and somehow, as a one-woman team, managed to capture every meaningful detail of the day.

Hat Trick Acoustic set the tone for an unforgettable apéro and dinner, creating such an incredible energy throughout the evening. Singing alongside our guests are memories we’ll cherish forever.

The team at Lilly of the Valley exceeded every expectation. Their attention to detail was extraordinary, and both we and our guests were blown away by the food, service, and overall experience. It was so much more than we ever could have imagined.

And finally, our planner, Shades Waves, was truly exceptional. Always one step ahead, she anticipated every detail and made the entire experience feel seamless, stress-free, and undeniably magical.
