Tell us a little about yourselves!

We met on the first day of film class in college in 2017. We quickly became each other's best friend and were completely inseparable. Two years later we realized we had been in love the whole time. For our whole relationship travelling has been such an important part of both of our lives, one of our favorite things is to see the world together. In 2025 we booked our first trip to England together where I proposed to Madison at the garden of The Swan Inn in Bibury which is a small town in the Cotswolds.

I also proposed to Anna after she proposed to me! Years ago when I knew Anna was the one I always had a plan to propose to her in the place we first met.

I compiled and edited a video of all of our memories made together and spoke over it telling the story of how I fell in love with her. Our favorite sweet songs, ‘Here you come again’ by Dolly Parton and ‘Can’t take my eyes off of you’ by Frankie Valli played in the background.

I had her sister blindfold her and drive her to our college campus and walk her into the classroom where we first met. It was a film class so the room was set up like a small movie theater. I was waiting for her with flowers to play the video. At the end, I popped the question and got down on one knee. It was the most nervous I’ve ever been. We spent the rest of the afternoon getting massages and having a romantic spa day! It was absolute perfection.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

Even before we were engaged we would talk about how we pictured our wedding being held at an Airbnb instead of a traditional venue. Having our loved ones stay in the same place as us and waking up together with coffee on the morning of our wedding day sounded so perfect. Neither of us are from New York or have any ties to the state but we decided early what feelings we wanted the airbnb to emulate. We searched for months until my mom came across this perfect one in Upstate NY and sent it over to us. The one we chose in Hudson was more beautiful and perfect than we ever could have imagined and now we do have special ties to New York, we got married there!

The house sat on acres and acres of land and had a gorgeous pool where we all swam the day prior. There was also a beautiful weeping willow in the field behind the house which was very romantic! We got married inside in front of the most gorgeous window overlooking the property.

How many guests did you have?

We always knew we wanted to keep it super intimate and only had 5 guests!

What was your budget?

We kept our budget small and did what we could ourselves! This felt true to us since we are hands on girls who are always crafting and cultivating our own vision. We had so much fun making the florals while we blasted Fleetwood Mac and for dinner we got takeout from a local restaurant and plated it ourselves, we even chose to get married at an Airbnb instead of a venue which saved a lot of money and made it so special with everyone staying together!

Tell us about your outfits.

Madison: My dress was a Jenny Yoo sample ballgown with a strapless sweetheart neckline in a ivory crinkle habotai fabric. Originally the dress had off the shoulder sleeves and a more angular neckline, my seamstress brought my vision to life and helped me make the dress truly one of a kind. I always dreamed of my look being a dramatic moment and chose to let the dress speak for itself and opted out of wearing a veil. I felt so myself! Truly never wanted to take it off. My favorite outfit I've ever worn!!

Anna: My dress was an ivory A-line by Vow’d. Before going dress shopping I pictured myself opting for a dress that was either vintage or something with a unique silhouette. The dress I chose was neither of those which stunned me. Honestly, I was not even going to try it on but my sister picked it out and convinced me to! It was the first dress I tried on and immediately I knew it was the one. My sister and mom were both with me and all three of us teared up. I tried on the rest of what I had picked out but when I put my dress on for a second try I didn’t want to take it off. I felt timeless, chic, and like the main character in a 90’s romcom! I wore a two tiered veil with it!

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

To keep it fun! Being engaged is such a special time as a couple and planning a wedding should be romantic and fun! Since we had such an intimate wedding it was easy to make it exactly how we pictured and keep it stress free!

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

Anna: We knew we wanted our officiant to be someone close and dear to us. My dad was the officiant. It made the ceremony so special having him up there and pronouncing us wife and wife. We also had my mom read a poem which made us all cry. Having them both be a part of the ceremony was something we would recommend again and again! Another thing that was especially important to us was giving a special nod to my grandma who passed away. The dress she wore to my moms wedding was the same color as my moms dress so she had a seamstress incorporate pieces of my grandma's dress into my moms dress.

A last minute decision we had was to take polaroids of each other at the altar. We would recommend this to everyone as it was such a special moment to have and look back on!

Any tips for couples getting married?

Things are definitely going to stray away from how they were originally planned and it’s important to embrace those changes instead of letting them upset you. When you look back on your special day you won’t even remember what went wrong you will only remember how happy you were and how it was your dream day!

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

Emma Melin was the most perfect photographer. She made us feel so comfortable right off the back and immediately got the vision we were going for. Her photos fully captured the day in a candid and cinematic way. Every time we look at photos from our wedding day we can feel the energy of each moment!

For food we had takeout from Via Cassia and plated it on plates we brought to the Airbnb. The food was absolutely delicious, and the restaurant was so accommodating and helpful to make sure it was ready on time!
