Tell us a little about yourselves!

Anna Silva is the Director of Non Apparel (Footwear & Handbags) at Khaite, being in the fashion luxury business for over 15 years. Hugo Perea is the Brand Manager of Valrhona. We met through mutual friends in Bushwick (Brooklyn) in March 27th, 2021 while brunching at Carthage Must be Destroyed. From then on we were inseparable. Anna is 9 years older than Hugo and the age difference only made the relationship more interesting and perfect.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

Hugo is originally from Avignon, so we decided to get married in his hometown. Anna is originally from Brazil and her whole family attended the affair.

We hosted four events: welcome dinner on Thursday, rehearsal dinner on Friday, wedding on Saturday, brunch & pool party on Sunday.

How many guests did you have?

200 guests and Lena Ruschke captured our day.

What was your budget?

$230K.

Tell us about your outfits.

Anna wore Khaite head to toe for all events except the wedding day. Anna also developed 3 different shoes to wear for the wedding day directly with the factory. She wore Khaite’s Jett Pump that will launch in F25 custom in Satin, and the Cage Sandal also custom in satin.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

Setting the mood board, the mood board and color palette took 3 months to finalize – after that was done we just needed to find vendors that matched exactly what we wanted without wavering. We did not compromise on the mood we were trying to achieve.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

We wanted decadent flowers arrangements and instalments that were completely unique.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Stay authentic and true to your vibe as a couple.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

One of the most unique things about this wedding was the stationery. Anna worked with her Assistant from Khaite, Alessia Aucoin, to develop something completely bespoke. Together they created the invitation book that was 45 pages long detailing the weekend that was to come which came inside a custom organza bag that was embroidered with the couple’s initials. Every single paper element – church pamphlet, menus, seating chart, seating names, was developed by both over the course of a year.
