Tell us a little about yourselves!

I’m Amber, Irish born and bred, and I’ve been living in London for the past 15 years. I run my own luxury wig brand, Amber Jean, which keeps me fulfilled and extremely happy.

My husband, Ben, also runs his own company, which specialises in operations.

Why did you decide to get married when you did?

It was the right time for us — we were in a really stable place personally, emotionally, and in our careers as well.

How many guests did you have?

We ended up having 130. Louise Golding captured our day.

What was your budget?

£25–35k.

Tell us about your outfits.

My dress, I absolutely adored — I knew as soon as I tried it on that it was the one. I felt so confident and held in it. I’ve always been a huge Vivienne Westwood fan, and also a Sex and the City lover, so the idea of wearing such an iconic dress filled me with so much joy.

Once I knew I had found the dress, I started looking for a neckpiece. I found the perfect one with Cinq, which almost acted as a train, as my actual veil was very short — the neckpiece had a beautiful, dramatic train. It was all about the drama.

I also changed into a Vivienne Westwood pearl necklace for dinner, as I wanted a bit of a shift in look for the evening.

And of course, I had to have green shoes as a little nod to my country Ireland.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

I just wanted to be able to be totally present on the day, so having a great planner there to handle everything made such a difference.

I wanted all my loved ones to experience the magic of the island of Ischia.

The dinner with the fairy lights was a dream for me, so seeing them come together felt really special — and the food was incredible!

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

Yes — my Irish culture, combined with my husband’s Jewish background and culture, was incredibly important to us.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Be present and have time together throughout the night — don’t get swept up with everyone else.
