Why did you decide to get married where you did?
I’m actually a wedding officiant, so I wanted to go somewhere that I don’t officiate weddings. We chose a Little White Wedding chapel because it’s 5 mins from our house and very iconic for Las Vegas. Plus Elvis was a really important factor!
How many guests did you have?
Our best friend and film photographer Amy from Aimlee Photography!
Tell us about your outfits.
I chose a dress from Before by Sarah Seven - that company just gets me! We wanted the vintage theme to be felt throughout, so the short dress and long veil from Sugar Rose Gardens were a must for me. Stephen opted for a classic tux with dice cufflinks!
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
The wedding planning process needed to be easy and stress free!! It took me about 30 mins to secure the hotel, vintage car rental from Classic Cars Las Vegas, dinner and the Little White Wedding Chapel .
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
Yes! I surprised Stephen with our hotel stay and we were taken back in time! The Jackie Gaughan Suite at El Cortez Hotel allowed us to live our 1960’s penthouse dreams. It was also important for us to visit our most favorite hotel - Circus Circus. We also cruised Fremont Street in the 61’ Cadillac that we rented and made sure to stop by Sure Thing Chapel for a vintage photo-strip.
Any tips for couples getting married, particularly during Covid?
Less is more! This is my advice for all couples, as I mostly help couples plan elopements. But I took my own advice and don’t regret keeping it a true elopement with no guests. Make sure to make your wedding day about YOU!
