Why did you decide to get married where you did?
We had always dreamed of an outdoor celebration, in summer, under the light of the trees. We were searching wide and far and when we finally went to Finca El Gasco we knew that this was our place!
How many guests did you have?
100. We wanted an intimate wedding surrounded by the people we loved the most.
Tell us about your outfits.
Finding my wedding dress was really difficult, I knew I wanted it in a champagne tone, a vintage style and in satin. However, I couldn't find anything that fit what I was looking for - until I found Sofía Delgado Studio. Sofía is a charming person, with patience and love for details. The range of fabrics that she has in her studio is exciting and she knew how to hit the nail on the head from day one. We hardly had to make any changes during the fittings and the result was spectacular. I had never felt so in my skin as in that dress. The veil was equally as beautiful - the details of the flowers embroidered by hand accompanied the simplicity of the dress. I am immensely grateful to Sofia for creating the most special outfit of my life.
As for Kepa's suit, it was a simple black tailored suit from Lander Urquijo accompanied by a thin tie of the same color. A very classic, timeless look.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
Our planner Marketing For Lemons has been a very important part of the process. Tania has helped us a lot and has even become a friend. The dedication she put into the wedding, her unwavering commitment to plan and execute even that smallest detail and having her close to her that day, has been priceless. Meeting her has also been one of those good things that you take with you on that great adventure that is getting married.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
We wanted to bring the North of Spain to our wedding, so we evoked two essential elements. On one hand, the table decor and styling, completely surrounded by an abundance of green foliage, on the other, the culinary tradition of the Basque Country with the help of Bokado Catering. Background jazz music from Kentucky Five ended up putting the final notes on the event.
Any tips for couples getting married?
Enjoy the process!
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
On a day as special as this, it is important to surround yourself with suppliers with whom you feel in tune, since they will be with you for many hours on your big day. In our case, some of them have become part of our 'wedding family', like Nieves from Días de Vino y Rosas. Photography constitutes the soul and the remnants of the most unforgettable day as a couple. With her we felt extremely comfortable, we laughed and the result our images could not be more spectacular. We love the naturalness with which she has managed to capture our essence, avoiding artificial poses and attending to all the small details of that August 12. Without a doubt, we would choose Días de Vino y Rosas a thousand times again!
