Real Wedding | Elisa + Nicola

Tell us a little about yourselves!

We both grew up in a small town in Liguria, Italy, we both work in finance but in two different cities: Elisa in Milan, Nicola in the Principality of Monaco. Nicola is a golf player but is good at many sports, Elisa loves reading and cooking. We share a passion for travel, and we have a long list of places to visit.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

We desired a wedding that felt more like a memorable party to share with our loved ones, rather than a classic wedding. Masseria Calderisi in Puglia was the perfect place to gather our guests for an early summer weekend of relaxation and fun. Moreover, Puglia is our favourite region for food and Apulians are #1 in hospitality and wedding celebrations.

How many guests did you have?

100.

What was your budget?

€200-250k.

Tell us about your outfits.

Nicola wanted to wear a tuxedo as he always wears suit and tie at work, Francesco of Ottone Weddings suggested Bottega Dalmut, a niche Apulian tailoring that is now world famous. Bottega Dalmut is perfectly in tune with Nicola’s taste, who finally chose a greige jacket for the ceremony with black tuxedo pants, and a off-white jacket and black tuxedo pants for the party, both made of Dalmut’s exclusive fabrics.

Elisa’s mother took her straight to Le Spose di Gio and she chose the first dress she tried on at the first fitting. She did not feel comfortable wearing a veil, instead she fell in love with a headband by Jennifer Behr.

She found her reception dress by Flora Bridal at Antonella Del Brusco boutique, and it was perfect both for dinner and for the after-party.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

We just wanted that the event was authentic and that our guests enjoyed their time in Puglia.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

We wanted Alessandro Ristori to perform during our wedding dinner (we actually changed our wedding date for him). We met Matteo Lotti during our first holiday in Formentera, and we chose him to sing the night before the wedding.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Enjoy every moment, try to store memories and do not forget to eat!

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

We struggled to find a photographer with a unique style, but when we landed on Stefano Santucci’s Instagram profile we had no doubts. He manages to capture every emotion and looking at one of his photos is like reading a story.
