Why did you decide to get married where you did?
We decided to get married in the South of France, where my husband is from, as it was key to me that we could have hot weather. I love the endless summer nights, so I wanted to recreate that for our wedding.
We chose Mas de Saint Remy because we wanted to do a 3 day wedding, and could host most of our guests there. We wanted something simple, warm, friendly and charming. The garden was huge and allowed us to create different spaces and atmospheres within the garden.
How many guests did you have?
85. Elisa Rinaldi captured our day.
Tell us about your outfits.
My dress was made by Mugler, which is the company where I work as Collection Director. It’s a dress made for our last collection by my friend and designer Marie Jouannin, which is part of the Mugler Studio. We changed the fabric to 100% silk in white. My closest and favourite colleagues worked on it, which makes it very special to me. I’m forever grateful for what they did.
My husband suit was made to measure by Chato Lufsen in Paris.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
We wanted something easy and very relaxed. I hate when things seem overdone or over-prepared. However, it was key for us to have good food and wine as we’re both epicureans!
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
Speeches from the people we love, was key to me. And the singer (Lisbone) during cocktail hour was also quite important to me, it made this moment so nice!
Any tips for couples getting married?
Don’t overdo it, make sure it corresponds 100% to you. We’re seeing a lot of amazing beautiful wedding on Instagram and it can be hard sometimes to compare to these very impressive weddings, if you don’t have the same budget or don’t want to spend it.
It's a precious moment, make it easy for you (especially if you don’t want a planner) and do not hesitate to break the code or tradition if it doesn’t speak to you. There are no rules!
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
The chefs and restaurant owners from Bouillon Maurel, who cooked at our wedding are friends of my husband. They made the most special cocktails, the food was amazing, everyone loved it! To be honest, I’ve never eaten something that good at a wedding. Thank you again guys!
