Capturing photos and videos in digital, 35mm, and Super 8 allows Kaleidos Wedding to blend the romance of the past with the sophistication of the present, creating wedding memories that feel authentic, intimate, and timeless. Based in Ibiza, Kaleidos Wedding works across all the Balearic Islands, including Mallorca, throughout Spain, from Galicia to Barcelona, as well as in Italy, including the Amalfi Coast, Sardinia, and Tuscany.
Tell us about your business!
My name is Alice, founder of Kaleidos Wedding, a creative studio based in Italy and Spain, where digital and analog photography meet digital cinematography and Super 8 to tell modern, classic, and vintage love stories worldwide.
What would you like couples to know about you?
I’m Italian, originally from Sardinia, and I’ve been living in Spain for the past ten years. After earning a degree in Philosophy, I began working as a documentary photographer, telling human stories around the world, with my work published in international magazines.
I have lived and worked in the Middle East, Milan, London, Kolkata, and Madrid, and I am now based in Ibiza, Spain.
Photographing my sister’s wedding helped me discover how to use my emotions to become a storyteller for one of the most meaningful days in a couple’s life, shared with family and friends, and how to turn this passion into my own creative business.
Passionate about cinema, music, and vintage analog aesthetics, especially the iconic “Super 8” style, I use these inspirations to explore my creativity and bring stories to life with a unique, nostalgic, and authentic touch.
I am deeply in love with multi-day, multicultural weddings, where different cultures, traditions, and emotions come together, but I’m equally drawn to intimate weddings with a vintage touch and a sense of simplicity.
Where are you based?
I currently reside in Spain, on the magical island of Ibiza, working across all the Balearic Islands, especially Mallorca, where I combine my love of travel with my passion for capturing love’s most meaningful moments.
I also work throughout Spain, from Galicia to Barcelona, as well as in Italy, including the Amalfi Coast, Sardinia, and Tuscany, and I’m always inspired by discovering new places around Europe and the world.
How would you describe your style?
Empathy is at the heart of my work. I immerse myself in each story, taking the time to understand your personality, musical tastes, and aesthetic preferences, while discreetly capturing the true essence of your day.
Throughout the celebration, we will share a full spectrum of emotions, from vibrant joy to the most poetic moments. I document raw, authentic experiences while creating a refined editorial narrative, where every aesthetic choice, storytelling detail, and portrait is carefully considered.
For your film, I love to create the soundtrack of your story together with you, turning your memories into a true cinematic experience.
What is your most memorable career moment?
When I discovered that 35mm and Super 8 analog formats were coming back to life! It felt like a dream, bringing timeless analog formats into modern storytelling.
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
My dream is to document entire events using only analog formats, 35mm photography and Super 8 filmmaking.
While many of my clients ask for a blend of analog and digital, I truly love this hybrid approach.
It allows me to create poetic, authentic moments on film, while also capturing real emotions in real time through digital audio, cinematic video, and aerial drone footage. By combining these worlds, I’m able to tell complete, honest stories, full of texture, movement, sound, and soul.
Who is your dream client?
My dream clients are those who live their lives with authenticity and love to capture their special day with friends and family, with a sense of nostalgia reminiscent of vintage home movies and old photographs on real film negatives.
In this era of AI, it’s important to reconnect with real life and tangible memories, having physical negatives allows you to relive your day and replay your film as many times as you like.
How do you select music for your films?
This is an important part of my post-production process. I send a questionnaire to my couples to gather references, their favorite songs, and preferred music style or mood. However, in the end, it’s essential for me to create a film with my own personal touch, because every wedding film deserves a layer of personal interpretation.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
My advice is to plan ahead and communicate clearly with all your vendors. Having a great planner or designer, along with a trusted team and strong communication, truly makes all the difference.
On the day itself, it’s important to be yourself, live in the moment, and fully experience every emotion with your family and friends. Trust your vendors and enjoy your day.
