Photography duo Elena and Victor from Olea are based between Madrid and Barcelona and travel worldwide to photograph weddings. They capture images with a fresh and natural style using both digital and film formats. Olea's goal is to discover and highlight beauty and elegance in everyday moments, crafting images they themselves would cherish.

Tell us about your business!

Olea is about looking every moment through a special lens, making sure nothing goes unnoticed. We believe that there is elegance in the everyday, craft in our customs, delicacy in the details. Our aim is to find it and frame it. Pulling together references from fine art, design, nature, architecture and inspiring ourselves in the everyday. We work hand in hand with our couples to create memories they can print.

What would you like couples to know about you?

Olea is a personal project by Elena and Victor. We create the kind of photos we’d love to have ourselves.

Where are you based?

We’re based in Madrid, and our second home is in Barcelona, where we carry out a large part of our work.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, we love to travel and discovering new places and cultures is one of the things that we like the most.

How would you describe your style?

Our style is fresh and natural. We love the analog look that gives it that artisanal and Mediterranean touch. It's a warm and sensitive style.

What is your most memorable career moment?

Shooting an entire wedding at Casa Batlló has been such a unique experience.

What inspires you?

Look around us and seek out the beauty that surrounds us. Because it can be found even in the smallest details of our daily routine.

How would you describe your working style?

We always like to say that we’re more like friends taking pictures, and we place a lot of value on building trust and communicating naturally with you.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

We shoot both digital and film, as the two formats complement each other very well. It’s also a lot of fun to work with different cameras throughout the day. Sometimes, shooting on film helps create a more natural connection.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

We offer two main packages, but we’re always happy to adapt them to the needs of each wedding.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

We always enjoy working with analog photography; it's always special to take photos without seeing them immediately. It gives us patience, so important in this hectic world we live in.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

We love to travel wherever people want us to go.

Who is your dream client?

Our best clients are always the most natural, those who celebrate their wedding to experience a special day surrounded by friends and family, those who don't want to miss a single detail and live every moment to the fullest. And the client who trusts us to capture it all.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

May they enjoy every second, not worry about anything, and never be separated from their family and friends on their wedding day.
