Tell us about your business!
I am a photographer with a strong focus on 35mm and medium format.
What would you like couples to know about you?
I am so grateful to have this job and I don’t take its responsibilities lightly. I really believe in the magic of life, and finding a medium that has enabled me to express that has been my greatest gift.
Where are you based?
In West Marin, California.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! I am always inspired by the light in Northern California, but I am open for new adventures and landscapes.
How would you describe your style?
I would describe it as soft and not complicated. I follow the emotions, I follow the light. Shooting film taught me to embrace imperfection, and I find so much beauty there.
What inspires you?
So much! My community, my morning coffee, carefully considered spaces, films, art books, a walk in nature with my dog, Rodeo. I love that my line of work brings connection and I think that’s what inspires me the most — connection to my clients, connection to my surroundings, connection to myself.
How would you describe your working style?
I would describe myself as non-obtrusive. I put a lot of energy into building a real connection with my couples, so there’s a comfort between us that lets them be perfectly human. Above all, I want my couples to know I am there to support them and celebrate with them.
Photography is my meditation and it allows me to live outside of myself. When I’m really in a flow state, it feels like I’m dancing with my cameras!
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
I find every camera in my kit to be a useful tool. I have my favorites, but each of them serves a different purpose. I feel most connected to my film work, but love to offer some digital for variety.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
I will go anywhere far and wide! Lately I’ve been thinking about my roots a lot and would love to photograph a wedding where I’m from — New York.
Who is your dream client?
My dream clients are people who feel connected to the things I pay attention to — especially the in-between and intimate moments. By hiring me, you’re allowing me to enter your world for a day. That is something very intimate and I think it requires a certain amount of trust. Trust is everything!
