Based between NYC and Puerto Rico, Love Bears started from a mutual passion when Fran and Mils first bonded over their love for capturing moments. Their journey together, both as partners in life and in art, has shaped the way they see the world: through a lens of intimacy, beauty, and emotion. Using a blend of observation and intention, Love Bears capture weddings in both digital and film formats worldwide.

Tell us about your business!

We’re a married couple, and before starting Love Bears, we both came from creative backgrounds in design and music, which shaped how we see images and visual storytelling. That creative foundation continues to guide our work and the way we collaborate. We’ve been photographers for 12 years, with the past 9 years focused on wedding photography, capturing authentic moments for couples who want their wedding to genuinely reflect who they are through every detail and the overall experience of their day.

NYC and Puerto Rico.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, we’ve had the opportunity to work in the Caribbean, the U.S., and Europe.

How would you describe your style?

A blend of observation and intention. We let the couple, the wedding design, and the venue’s architecture guide us, capturing each wedding in a way that feels personal and unique.

What inspires you?

We’re inspired by the timeless quality of film photography, natural landscapes, architectural lines, and fashion. These elements influence how we approach composition and storytelling in every wedding we document.

How would you describe your working style?

A blend of observation and intention. We allow each couple, along with the design of the wedding and the character of the space, to shape our approach, so every celebration is documented in a way that feels distinctive and true to them.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

Both.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

We offer thoughtfully designed packages to make things easy for our clients, but if they’re looking for something more personalized, we’re happy to craft a custom package that reflects their unique vision and plans perfectly.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

South America—we love countries rich in culture.

Who is your dream client?

A client who fully trusts us and has a deep appreciation for art, architecture, and fashion. Someone who values and is excited by curated details and genuine moments. A couple whose wedding is a true reflection of who they are, expressed through the venue, the artistry of the design, the food, and the music.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Once every vendor is chosen with intention, trust the process. The best photos always come from a place that feels natural and unforced, so preparation is less about perfection and more about creating the right environment. You don’t need to overthink how to pose or what to do. The most important thing is to be present with each other and fully in the moment.
