PHOTOGRAPHER | Brookklyn

Based between NYC and Arizona, Brookklyn's approach to photography is instinctive and film-focused, capturing the true essence of a wedding. She aims for your portraits to be refined and thoughtful, while the rest of the images remain natural, genuine, and vibrant. Brookklyn uses both film and digital photography, and her top priority is for you to feel at ease, be fully present, and walk away with photographs that genuinely reflect you.
Tell us about your business!
Hi! Brookklyn Photo is a wedding photography studio rooted in documentary and editorial photography. To me, documentary means paying attention to the moments as they naturally unfold: the in-between interactions, the energy of a room, and the way people show up for each other. I pair that with a love for fashion, thoughtful curation, and elevated portraits to create a gallery that feels honest, artful, and considered.
What would you like couples to know about you?
I don’t take lightly the weight of documenting a day you’ll look back on for the rest of your lives. I care about getting to know you, your family, and the little things that make your relationship unique. I want you to be present and actually experience your wedding day, while I take care of preserving it in a way that feels like you, just a little more artful.
Where are you based?
I’m based between New York City and Arizona.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! I love photographing weddings in new places. Both in the US and internationally. Discovering new places and people continually inspires my work.
How would you describe your style?
My approach is intuitive and film-forward, with a balance of letting things happen and knowing when to step in. I love creating portraits that feel elevated without feeling overdone, and documenting the little moments, interactions, and unexpected things that make a wedding day what it is. More than anything, I want you to feel comfortable, be fully present, and walk away with photographs that feel true to you.
What inspires you?
Street fashion, art, and architecture. Wandering museums, getting lost in new places, deep conversations with loved ones, putting together the perfect outfit, blue hour, a beautiful floral arrangement, a thoughtfully plated meal, and a really good glass of orange wine.
How would you describe your working style?
I’m laid-back, observant, and very intentional. I want my couples to feel comfortable around me. I’ll step in when direction is helpful, especially for portraits and family photos, but I leave plenty of room for things to happen naturally. I also care about the flow of the day and working closely with planners so there’s space for the important photographs without losing sight of the actual experience.
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
Both! I think film and digital each have their place throughout a wedding day, and I love how they complement each other when blended together.
Who is your dream client?
My dream clients care about the experience just as much as the photographs. They appreciate good design, personal details, fashion, and a thoughtful atmosphere, but they also want to be present with their people and enjoy the day. I love working with couples who have a point of view, aren't afraid to do things their own way.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
Make decisions based on what actually matters to you, not what you feel like you're supposed to do. Create a day that feels like the two of you, surround yourselves with people you trust, and leave room to be present. The day will go by quickly, and some of the most meaningful moments will probably be the ones you didn't plan. Trust your vendors, let go of the little things, and enjoy it.
