Where are you based?

I call Brooklyn, NY home!

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes! Most of my weddings take me along the East Coast of the US however, I would happily travel for my couples.

How would you describe your style?

I love a paradox: untraditional yet honest, raw yet refined, beautiful yet unfussy. I think of my photography style that way - my imagery is classic, emotive yet relatable. I love playing with light, color, and movement to add an artful twist. My approach includes providing clients direction where needed, which is typically regarded as “editorial” but the end result still feels very authentic and candid.

What inspires you?

Contemporary classical music, old bookstores, mood boarding, outtakes, graphic design, vintage fashion catalogs, 1950s couture, belly laughter, meet-cutes, subtle glances, my travels abroad… so many things!

How would you describe your working style?

Calm, kind and collaborative. While I reserve many moments to be a fly on the wall to capture more documentary-style imagery, I work with my wedding clients to determine which moments to reserve for “play” – or editorial guidance (from me!). I’ve found my clients cherish this part because it adds a little private playfulness into an otherwise very structured day, and results in beautiful portraiture that they would’ve otherwise missed in a 100% documentary approach.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

Mostly digital, but both!

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Yes!

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

Consults and timeline prep. I love spending time with clients– whether it’s in person or via video, I find that taking the time to get to know you more deeply makes it easier to jive during your big day and help me to tell the right story with the imagery. I offer 2-3 consults depending on the scale of the wedding, and you get to pick when it makes sense to meet! The final consult is timeline prep where we can mitigate worries and risks with your planner so you have far less to worry about on your big day.

Who is your dream client?

Creatives (at heart, professionally, or both) with a willingness to be open and playful.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

In terms of photography, imagine yourself looking through your wedding album 10 years from now. What do you want to remember? If you work backwards from there, you may unearth the things that actually matter most. Stick to those values–the rest is extra!
