Hi, I’m Salien, a Belgian photographer with an aesthetic sense and care for real connections and authentic storytelling. Inspired by characteristic interiors, fashion, the serenity of nature and the delicate beauty in life’s smallest moments, I seek to craft images that reflect the unique essence of each story.

What would you like couples to know about you?

I’m a person and photographer led by intuition and emotions. I always prioritize my couples, as I firmly believe in fostering their connection and guiding them towards a wedding day centered around an extraordinary experience above all else.

Where are you based?

I’ve happily settled in Ghent, Belgium, sharing life with my partner and our beloved dog.

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely, I’ve frequently travelled for work to France, Italy, Iceland, Spain and the USA. I’m always excited to discover new destinations in the future.

How would you describe your style?

My approach is effortless and intuitively aligned with the natural flow of the wedding day—embracing the raw, imperfect beauty of real life while balancing it with thoughtfully crafted images that evoke timeless artistry. I blend these perspectives by allowing genuine moments to unfold organically, while also creating space for intentional, story-driven compositions.

What inspires you?

Meaningful conversations, noticing beautiful light, walks with our dog in nature, sharing belly laughs with loved ones and gathering around a table filled with homemade food and joyful company. I also draw inspiration from art, architecture, and travel.

How would you describe your working style?

My presence on the day is warm and easy-going—I aim to blend in naturally, helping everyone feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. With gentle direction and an eye for natural movement, I create space for authentic moments, all while keeping the energy light and joyful. The goal is to document the day as it truly unfolds—seamlessly and thoughtfully—so the photography feels like a natural extension of your celebration, never a disruption.

Yes, absolutely! I highly encourage couples to share as many details as possible about their wedding plans so I can tailor my services accordingly.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

If I had the choice, I would love to travel for work to Morocco because its enchanting blend of ancient traditions, stunning architecture, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant, colorful markets creates a uniquely magical and romantic atmosphere. That said, I’m always excited to go wherever work takes me—each new destination offers its own world of inspiration and growth.
