Stephanie Wolf is a Minnesota-based wedding and elopement photographer offering a bespoke photography experience. She specialises in capturing the raw, honest, and unfiltered moments that make up your special day, while paying attention to all the little details. Stephanie Wolf serves the greater Midwest area and is available to capture weddings worldwide.

What would you like couples to know about you?

I care deeply. I’m someone who feels everything, quickly picks up on energy, and pays attention to the little details that most people miss. I love photographing weddings because I know how fast it all goes, and how much the small moments end up meaning.

Where are you based?

I’m based in Minnesota, but I frequently serve the greater Midwest area and beyond.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes! I travel for most of my weddings, and absolutely love it. It’s so inspiring to create in new places.

What is your most memorable career moment?

Truly every wedding is so memorable for me. I constantly have to pinch myself, because this career is my biggest dream come true. If I had to pick one moment, I would have to say my first wedding abroad in Europe. This was such a milestone for me, but more than that, it was the intimacy of the wedding day. This couple had reserved a private Quinta in Sintra, Portugal, with only a handful of their closest friends and family in attendance. It was so special to get to capture this time in their lives, and I remember feeling so grateful to be a part of it.

What inspires you?

Texture, light, color, fashion, nature, human interaction. Listening to others talk about their dreams and passions. Seeing new places. Music. Nostalgia. Long drives.

How would you describe your working style?

My working style is experience-led, with a documentary approach and an editorial influence. I’m calm by nature, observant, and intentional about when to step in or to step back. The importance of a wedding day is never lost on me, and I’m intentional about how I show up - not just in what I create, but in my presence. I try to support the day, not distract, and am constantly drawing from the connections around me to produce genuine, artful imagery.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

Both! I work with a hybrid approach, combining digital, 35mm and 120 film. I love utilizing each medium’s strengths, and the variety it gives a gallery.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

Film! The way it captures color and light simply cannot be replicated. I love that it can feel crisp and elevated, or nostalgic and tangible. It’s just magic.

As a very close runner-up: full day coverage. I no longer offer anything less and I’ll never go back. A wedding shouldn’t feel like a photoshoot, and without the pressure of a tight timeline, the day can unfold so much more naturally.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

I‘ve gotten to photograph so many incredible destinations over the past few years. Aside from the energy and emotion of a wedding day, the location is so key in storytelling. A few places that come to mind:

Within the US: Mostly a collection of venues in California - Sea Ranch Lodge, Monserate Winery, Greystone Mansion, and The Madrona to name a few. Also, Villa Terrace in Milwaukee, The Swan House in Atlanta, and any of the Auberge properties.

Internationally: France, Ireland, Mallorca, and Tuscany!

Who is your dream client?

Couples who value connection and design - who want their wedding day to feel as intimate as a dinner party, yet elevated enough to reflect the significance of the moment. They care deeply about creating an experience, and they trust a talented team of professionals to artfully bring their vision to life. Above all, they prioritize meaningful moments over performance. They want photographs that reflect not only how their wedding looked, but how it felt.
