I’m Sidonie Vidal, photographer for more than 5 years, documenting destination weddings in France, Italy and Europe.
What would you like couples to know about you?
Your wedding is not a photoshoot. I’m simply a witness of every instant, and I value experience above any images I could stage. Because in the end, what truly matters is how you lived the moment.
Do you travel for weddings?
I do travel for weddings, mainly in Europe but I am open to some further destinations sporadically, as I need to keep time and energy for my family.
How would you describe your style?
Raw and organic with an editorial touch. I focus highly on emotions, candid moments and I let the moments naturally unfold. My images are timeless, lightly edited with a warm and film looking color palette, aiming to maintain the true colors by simply enhance the natural beauty of the event.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by life and people. People who love deeply and passionately, living life fully and unapologetically.
What motivates you to do what you do?
Human connection and relationships are at the heart of everything I do, both in my professional and personal life. Witnessing pure moments of joy and love fills my soul. Making people happy is surely one of my biggest joy in life, and what better way than documenting and crystalizing their most cherished memories.
How would you describe your working style?
A guest with a camera. When I come to a wedding, I let emotions and sensations fill me to sink into the day. I’m extremely sensitive, and I make it my strength on the day. Caring for my couples and their guests deeply so that I can capture their wedding with the eyes of a close one. With love.
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
I shoot both digital and film on the day. I love how they complement each other and open doors for more creativity and fun.
Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?
I only work with tailored proposals. I find it to be the best way to truly serve my clients needs and meet their expectations.
Who is your dream client?
Non-traditional couples who want to have fun, spend time with their loved ones and be fully present on their wedding day.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
Be bold, be you! It is your wedding, make it truly exceptional!Leave time to breath and experience the moment, and hire a planner if possible.
