Tell us about your Myrtle Weddings!
I create art-driven wedding imagery — both stills and moving images. I shoot hybrid (digital, analogue and Super 8) and I’m drawn to design-forward couples who value storytelling with texture, emotion and a sense of place.
Connection is important to me: I take time to understand my couples, so the images feel like them, not like a template.
What would you like couples to know about you?
I love getting to know people and creating a relaxed atmosphere. I guide gently during photoshoots so couples never feel awkward or unsure what to do. I pre-plan couple sessions and build small concepts, so they don’t need to perform — they can just be present and enjoy their day.
I’m a sensitive creative with a soft aesthetic, but I also love dark humor, good films, and honest, emotional storytelling.
Where are you based?
I’m based between Vienna and Lake Constance, right at the border triangle of Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely. I love traveling for work — most often to Italy, Switzerland and France, but also throughout Europe and beyond.
How would you describe your style?
Analogue-inspired, grainy, emotive and editorial with a loose, cinematic feel. A mix of candid documentary and gentle direction. For art-loving, design-minded couples.
What is your most memorable career moment?
My first destination wedding — being flown to Italy for my style — was a turning point. Also when design-loving couples started seeking me out specifically because they wanted something more editorial and artistic. And when weddings are collaborative: co-creating ideas with couples who trust my vision.
What inspires you?
Fine art, printmaking, bold color, naïve art. Painters like Katja Berger. Colors and textures by Max Freund. Burnbjoerns drawings. Photographers like Pia Riverola. Advertising from the 70s.
The ocean — I spend my winters in the tropics, being in the water daily, which influences my work. Movies, music videos, series and electronic music.
How would you describe your working style?
Relaxed, client-forward, and very focused on how couples feel. I guide during portraits, but stay non-intrusive during the big moments. I also pay attention to guests — not only the couple.
I’m present and involved, capturing the energy rather than just observing from the outside.
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
Both. Digital, 35mm film and Super 8.
Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?
Yes, absolutely. I offer photography-only, photo and highlight videos, multi-day coverage, content creation, drone, second shooters, and Super 8. I adapt my approach depending on what the couple needs.
What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?
Multi-day wedding coverage with Super 8 — it allows the full story to unfold and gives a beautiful mix of editorial stills and nostalgic motion.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
South Africa, Mexico, Italy, France, Greece, Portugal. US and Australia.
Who is your dream client?
Art-loving, kind people who care deeply about atmosphere, design and storytelling — and who want their wedding to feel like an experience, not a performance.
How do you select music for your films?
I keep ongoing playlists and save songs whenever something feels like it fits a couple’s energy. I also explore licensing platforms regularly. I often record live sound during the wedding — it adds depth, personality and real emotion to the films.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
Follow your creative instincts. Prioritize experiences over perfection. Don’t think about how to pose — that’s my job. Stay present with your people. And seek inspiration outside of the wedding world: architecture, art, places you love.
