Marine Arborio works closely with each of her couples to create a shared vision for your day. She is based in Saint Jean de Luz, France and captures weddings throughout Europe.

Tell us about your business? 

Hi, I’m Marine, a French photographer for ten years, I started with culinary photography then moved on to fashion and interior design. Those different photographic styles are now reflected in wedding photography, which I have been partaking for 5 years. Your personality and emotions add up to a perfect, inspiring combination ! 

What would you like couples know about you? 

I am attentive to your wishes for your big day. I like to take time to understand your expectations. It is important to have a good feeling about each other, so that you feel comfortable and confidant on the day. I like spontaneity and authenticity, so I won’t ask you to pose - just to be true to yourself. I may advise you at certain key moments however, the day reminds yours and I’ll be there to bear witness to this special moment. 

I want to take shots that stand out, while being true to life. I like to surprise by combining aesthetics with the beauty of imperfection. 

Where are you based? 

I live in Saint Jean de Luz, in the southwest of France. 

Do you travel for weddings? 

Yes of course! It’s always a great pleasure to discover your most loved destinations.

How would you describe your style? 

I like to think of my work as a marriage between editorial, cinematic and journalistic photography. I’m discreet during the day and enjoy capturing your moments in context, where emotions and actions are simply spontaneous and true. 

I also love the beauty in everything, right down to the details that may seem insignificant but sometimes have so much meaning. 

I shoot with both digital and film, these duo allows me to create timeless images -while film offers a grain, perfect imperfections and a raw beauty that no post-production can create. 

What inspires you? 

Everyday life inspires me , everything around me. I love simple things in life and emotions that come out of them. Art as a whole, a movie, a table where a good meal has just been served, beautiful sounds, a scene from life - everything is a source of inspiration. 

On your big day, you, your personality and the soul you bring are my greatest inspirations. 

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both? 

I use both and I can also offer to make a mini film in Super 8. 

Who is your dream client? 

Couples who share an artistic sensibility, a love for details, beauty and aesthetics - and those who are not looking for perfection and who let themselves go, and whose wedding reflects who they are really. 

Where would you love to travel to for work? 

All Mediterranean destinations remain my favorites. However a wedding in Northern Europe like Sweden or Norway could be a wonderful experience! 

What is your advice to couples getting married? 

Be yourself enjoy the people around you who love you. The day goes by so quickly, don’t let yourself get caught up in unnecessary stress or unforeseen events, for which there’s always a solution! Breathe, live and enjoy! Beautiful memories are the ones we like to remember.
