With a background in fashion and documenting in both digital and film Louise Golding blends an authentic, documentary style with fashion forward frames providing storytelling imagery with an editorial perspective. Louise Golding is based in Portugal and travels throughout Europe and beyond to capture weddings.

What would you like couples to know about you?

I love to really connect with my couples and take time to understand their vision for their day. I take on a limited number of weddings per year so that I can really immerse myself in each wedding with the time, creative energy and unique perspective that it deserves.

Where are you based?

I am based in Portugal.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I am a destination wedding photographer, and I work throughout Europe and destinations worldwide.

How would you describe your working style?

I work in a very natural way, finding beauty in the unposed and capturing a wedding day as it naturally unfolds. Yet I have an eye for an editorial frame and am happy to guide and compose when needed. I believe in building a connection with my couples in the lead up to the wedding day itself and taking time to understand their vision for their day whether that be more documentary or editorial or a blend of the two.

I believe in the art of noticing and have a passion for capturing raw emotion and small unseen moments as well as the big, achieving not just wedding photos but images that evoke emotion – enabling couples to relive their wedding days - not just what it looked like, but how it felt.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

I shoot a mix of digital and film.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

I create bespoke packages for my destination couples based on their needs and requirements of their wedding day or multi-day celebrations.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

I have a huge passion for film photography and love the nostalgia it brings to a wedding day.
