Tell us about Lena Ruschke Photo!

Hi lovebirds, I’m Lena, the photographer and owner behind Lena Ruschke Photo. I am based in northern Germany and travel worldwide for amazing love stories. With me and my partner you can get the best of both worlds- Super-8 film and digital photography. 

What would you like couples to know about you?

Combining old film technics with new digital photography – that’s totally describing me and my personality. I love to have an environment around me, that is timeless but has some cool, spontaneous pops of interesting things. I love to discover new places, languages and food. Working a lot in Italy has taught me one thing: la dolce vita, the sweet life. Speaking English, German and ‘un po’ Italian gives me the freedom to connect with many cultures. I can’t wait to discover more!

Where are you based?

I am based in Osnabrück, a small town in northern Germany.

Do you travel for weddings?

I do and I love it!

How would you describe your style?

My style is the result of many experiences: on one hand, I love the documentary vibes, combining with film look makes it even more interesting. On the other hand, I love to give my couples the editorial opportunity by giving clear instructions. The magic happens when you combine these both: spontaneity and clear elegant instructions, topping it with an optional super-8 film.

What is your most memorable career moment?

I was in a plane in September of 2022, looking outside the airplane window while taking off, after I shot my first destination wedding in Spain thinking: THIS is exactly what I want to do. Now, a few years and many weddings later, shooting insane weddings all over Europe is my reality.

What inspires you?

Music, art, flora and fauna, interior, 70's, painting and the most inspiring thing: people.

How would you describe your working style?

Focused and professional, having everything in mind, yet giving my couples no stress and all the comfort and they need. I can’t stop smiling behind the camera, how could I with such beautiful scenes in front of me. 

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

We offer three different photographic packages (weekend, 10hours and half day), with additional services like super-8 film, Camcorder footage and content creation. Every wedding is different, so we can always shape something for you plans.
