Tell us about your business!

I’m an intimate wedding and portrait photographer from South Louisiana now living in Austin, TX. I bought my first camera in my early twenties and I’ve been a student of the medium ever since. I photograph couples who want something a little different, a little messy, thoughtful, romantic and stylish. My relationships with clients revolve around trust, connection, and communication. I want to give you realness and timelessness you’ll be proud to hang on your walls for years to come.

What would you like couples to know about you?

I’m here for you. I let everyone know how this isn’t about me or anyone else; it’s about them and what they want to do.

Do you travel for weddings?

I do! I love to travel. About half of my weddings each year are out of state. But I’d love to travel out of the country with a couple. France, Japan, and Italy are all on my list.

How would you describe your style?

I fall into the documentary and editorial style categories. Usually, my work is described as romantic and whimsical but also genuine, lively, and fun.

What inspires you?

I’m mostly inspired by the ways in which people interact with one another. I try to be inspired by the day I’m documenting or the couple and their relationship with one another.

What motivates you to do what you do?

My family – everything I’ve ever done or will do is for them.

How would you describe your working style?

I like to float through the day and keep calm. There are many things happening that can make your experience feel overwhelming and stressful. I don’t want your photo experience to be a part of that.

Through my 8 years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned where I need to be and when, as well as the moments I know my couples would love captured. I always interact with guests and family members as it makes them more comfortable around me and more willing to be in front of the camera.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

A mix of both. I love film photos but I also love the crispness of a digital photo.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Everyone has different needs, so I’m more than happy to customize something for you.

Who is your dream client?

Laid back, sentimental couples with a unique style and an appreciation for artful imagery who want timeless moments captured in a genuine and romantic way. My couples like the day to unfold naturally and mainly want to focus on their families and friends. They want something more intimate and low key to be able to really connect with their experience without feeling like the day just flew by.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Begin the planning process early. Lock down the vendors you feel are most important to you sooner rather than later. If that’s a photographer and your desired venue, don’t wait to secure those. I tend to book a year in advance. If you feel overwhelmed with all the details, hire a planner. I promise, your wedding experience will be so much more enjoyable knowing someone else has it covered for you.

Most importantly, just have fun and try to live in the moment!
