Kristin Piteo's passion is to pursue genuine connections and provide a high touch experience that is tailored to each of her couples vision. She has captured destination weddings from all over Europe, South Africa and the United States. Photography and travel continue to be beautifully intertwined in Kristin Piteo's life to create works of art.

Tell us about your business!

I have been photographing weddings across the globe for nearly 12 years, and I have really developed a strong connection between building relationships and creating art. Capturing love stories genuinely emits joy within, especially when I can authentically portray each couple's emotions at their core. Love is so beautiful, and I feel so grateful to be able to create lasting memories.

What would you like couples to know about you?

I bring a sense of calmness to that day, allowing each moment to unfold as organically as possible while also creating artful memories. It is about beautifully combining art and documentation while evoking emotion.

Where are you based?

I am based in Orange County, California with roots in NYC as well as Europe!

Do you travel for weddings?

100% of my weddings require travel however, I am looking to build a community in California this year. That being said, I will always be open for travel!

How would you describe your style?

Artful and authentic.

What is your most memorable career moment?

It is hard to pinpoint one specific moment, but the first wedding I ever photographed overseas in Lake Como definitely was a moment that changed my life. That wedding was the first publication that led to so many more.

What inspires you?

Traveling inspires me immensely as does different cultures, architecture, art forms and love. I also follow a lot of inspiring photographers and artists!

What motivates you to do what you do?

Being able to capture moments that last forever. Those genuine, organic moments that really reflect the love story of those who I work with.

How would you describe your working style?

I bring a laid back, creative approach to the day. Creating that bond with each couple really allows them to be their true selves instead of looking uncomfortable and posed. The connection we build won’t go unnoticed. By the time your wedding day arrives, I will be another friend in the room, adjusting, fixing, helping you feel beautiful and capturing your genuine love.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

Both.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Each package is customized per client.

What is a favourite service that you offer and why?

I include 2 rolls of film with each package as well as a full black and white gallery. I believe that both play such a huge part in my creative process.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

I have traveled all over the world for work, but haven’t yet photographed in Morocco!

Who is your dream client?

Down to earth, madly in love and stylish.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Stay present, remember to take every moment and feeling in, and be yourself as much as you possibly can.
