Tell us about your business!

I’m Jana Pollet, a Belgian photographer who started my journey in 2018. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of photographing over 300 weddings. I specialize in wedding, family, and lifestyle photography, focusing on authentic, timeless storytelling.

I love the social side of weddings — being part of the celebrations, connecting with family and friends, and capturing the energy and emotions of the day. While every wedding has a familiar rhythm, each one is completely unique, and I strive to capture it in a way that feels artful, personal, and timeless.

My style is minimalist, elegant, and natural, with an eye for light, composition, and emotion. I aim to create images that allow couples to relive their day and emotions for years to come, whether through intimate moments, joyful interactions, or beautifully designed details.

What would you like couples to know about you?

I want couples to know that I’m not just their photographer — I’m someone who genuinely cares about capturing their love story in a way that feels natural, timeless, and full of emotion. I believe in creating a relaxed and joyful experience, so you can be yourselves in front of the camera without feeling pressured or awkward.

I value the small, intimate moments as much as the big ones — the stolen glances, the laughter, the subtle gestures — because those are the memories that truly last. My goal is to not only document your wedding day but to tell your story in images that feel authentic and personal, so you can relive those emotions for years to come.

Above all, I want couples to feel that they can trust me to capture their day exactly as it is, with warmth, professionalism, and a little bit of creative magic.

Where are you based?

I'm based in Bruges, Belgium.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I travel all over Europe, but I would also really like to work outside Europe.

How would you describe your style?

My style is minimalist, timeless, artful, and authentic, with a focus on natural light, soft tones, and clean compositions. I love capturing genuine emotions and fleeting moments, from quiet glances to joyful celebrations. While I focus on authentic storytelling, I also enjoy including a few thoughtfully posed moments here and there to highlight the beauty and elegance of the day.

In short, my photography is about telling real stories with a modern, understated aesthetic — images that feel natural, emotional, artful and timeless.

What is your most memorable career moment?

Each wedding is memorable in its own way, but the moments that stand out most to me are when I feel a deep connection with my clients. When they become friends, and I have the privilege to not only photograph their wedding but also their whole journey — pregnancies, babies, family milestones — those experiences are truly unforgettable.

For me, the most memorable career moments are about relationships, trust, and being part of people’s lives over the years, capturing the love and growth that unfold naturally.

What inspires you?

I get inspired by the day itself — the energy, the people, and all the little details that make each wedding unique. I love observing how couples and their loved ones interact, the way they’ve designed their day, and the atmosphere created by the location, the weather, and the light.

Outside of weddings, I find inspiration in architecture, design, fashion, and the play of light, which often influences how I see and capture moments.

Every wedding tells its own story, and I draw inspiration from authentic emotions, thoughtful details, and natural beauty, helping me create images that feel personal, timeless, and full of life.

How would you describe your working style?

My working style is friendly, approachable, and immersive. I like to blend in with family and friends, becoming a natural part of the day rather than a distant observer. I’m not a quiet, hidden photographer — I interact when needed, but my focus is always on making you feel at ease so the moments I capture are genuine and natural.

I adapt to the flow of the day, balancing organization and professionalism with a relaxed, unobtrusive presence, ensuring that your photography experience is comfortable, joyful, and effortless.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

I shoot in digital format.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Yes! While I have fixed packages with set pricing that apply to everyone, my way of working is completely tailored to each couple. Every wedding is unique, and I adapt to your timeline, style, and needs to make sure the photography experience feels personal and effortless.

So while the price remains the same, the way I capture your day — from the moments I focus on to how I interact with your family and friends — is entirely customized to you.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

One of my favourite services to offer is full wedding coverage with storytelling photography. I love being able to capture every part of the day — from the intimate moments before the ceremony to the joyful celebrations afterwards — so that couples have a complete and authentic record of their wedding.

What makes this service special to me is that it allows me to tell the full story of a couple’s love and celebration, including all the details, emotions, and connections that make their day unique. I also enjoy building long-term relationships with my clients, following their journey beyond the wedding with maternity, newborn, and family sessions. Being able to create a complete visual narrative of their lives is what makes this service truly meaningful for me.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

Yes! I love being in and discovering new places.

Who is your dream client?

My dream client is a couple who values authenticity, emotion, and timeless storytelling. They want their wedding day captured as it truly is — full of laughter, love, and real moments — rather than just posed photographs.

They are relaxed, open, and enjoy being in the moment, completely trusting me to do my thing on the wedding day. They let me blend in with their family and friends while capturing the day naturally, knowing that every moment is being documented thoughtfully. They appreciate a mix of candid storytelling and a few elegant posed shots, and they want images that they will cherish forever, not just for social media.

Above all, my dream clients are people who want to enjoy their day fully, confident that their memories are being captured with care, creativity, and heart.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Your wedding day is a celebration of your love, and it should reflect you—not what others expect. Focus on the moments that matter most, surround yourself with people who lift you up, and embrace the little imperfections along the way. Incorporate personal touches that tell your story, from meaningful music to heartfelt words. Most importantly, pause, take it all in, and savor the day—it’s yours, and it will become memories you’ll cherish forever.
