Tell us about your business!

My name is Jake Fosmire, I’ve been a photographer for as long as I can remember but more seriously for about 10 years. I absolutely love photographing weddings, no other lane of photography is even remotely as interesting as wedding photography to me.

Where are you based?

I live in Fullerton, California.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I pretty much go anywhere there is a wedding!

How would you describe your photography style?

Contemporary, natural, fun, a little bit funky but more refined.

What inspires you?

Music, movies, everyday life.

How would you describe your working style?

Focused but calm, versatile. I’m a pretty regular guy and super easy to work with, I’m just a huge photography nerd and super passionate about the form and process. I prefer a balanced approach, knowing when to step in and when to give people and moments their space. I have an aesthetic I go for but I don’t like to be too prescriptive with shots. I allow inspiration and ideas to come up naturally.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

I use both. My style is rooted in the look of film but I also love the versatility of digital.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Yes, all of my weddings are custom rates. I have a standard rate but I find that many of the weddings I photograph are unique and I don’t want to limit what I can photograph by trying to squeeze everything through packages.

What is a favorite product or service that you offer and why?

We can basically do whatever you want. I don’t do packages, so if you want to do an elopement at the mall or a 20 day destination wedding marathon and honeymoon and want it photographed, I’m 100% in.

Who is your dream client?

Anyone and everyone that wants to work with me! If you like my style its a pretty strong indicator we will be a good fit.
