Catherine Goce is a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Toronto, Canada. She shoots on digital, film and Super 8 and has a deep appreciation for capturing genuine emotions and thoughtful design. Catherine Goce loves creating an experience where couples can enjoy their wedding day, trusting that their most special moments will be documented honestly, artfully and with intention.
What would you like couples to know about you?
My aunt is a photographer and I grew up following her around with a camera in my hand and now after shooting over 200 weddings my love for photography has evolved into a lifelong passion for storytelling and beautiful imagery.
I speak English and French and have a Filipino and French Canadian background. I’m an easy going and loving person who is genuinely just happy to be here!

Toronto, Canada.
Do you travel for weddings?
I do! I mainly photograph weddings throughout Canada and love occasionally traveling worldwide.
How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as documentary at heart with an artistic and editorial perspective. I would say it’s heartfelt and effortless with little bits of spontaneity that make a wedding feel alive. My goal is to make sure every wedding I photograph uniquely reflects the couple's connection in a way that feels timeless, refined yet beautifully imperfect.
What inspires you?
Art in all its forms. I have a saved folder full of paintings, film, interiors, fashion and all kinds of visual art that inspires me. It isn’t always directly related to photography, but I love how looking outside of my own medium can shift my perspective and encourage me to see a wedding day in a more creative way.
How would you describe your working style?
I take a very observant and intuitive approach throughout most of the day, while bringing more direction and creativity into portraits and details. I’m always paying attention to the little things like your guests laughing in the background, beautiful light pouring through a window, a quiet embrace, or a fleeting moment that might otherwise go unnoticed.
I listen closely, give direction when it’s helpful, and try to create an environment where you can genuinely relax and be yourselves. One of the nicest things I hear from couples is that they love my calming energy and feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. That means a lot to me, because I want the experience of being photographed to feel just as good as the photographs themselves.

I shoot digital, film and Super 8.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
I feel very lucky to be based in Canada, there are so many beautiful places I’d love to explore more through photographs. Montreal is always a favourite, and I’d love to spend more time along the coast of British Columbia and throughout the East Coast which is where my mom’s from. That said, as someone who loves travelling I will never say no to travelling somewhere new for your wedding!
Who is your dream client?
People who are kind, have an appreciation for design/fashion and fully immerse themselves in their day! I love working with people who care about the experience as much as the photographs, who want to celebrate wholeheartedly, be present with the people they love and have a day that feels aligned with who they are.
