Tell us about your business!
My business is a space of personal freedom — allowing me to live life on my own terms, always looking forward to the next adventure, meeting incredible personalities, and capturing their authentic selves in a way that’s both stylish and deeply personal. It’s about discovering new places and returning home full of memories. My business is my life — a perfect blend of simple pleasures, self-fulfilment, and the kind of challenges that inspire growth.
What would you like couples to know about you?
What others say about me is maybe most accurate — Alissa is not only known for her great social skills, the most cheerful dancer at your party, your tastiest coffee-date or your loyal friend through and through - she’s incredibly driven and ambitious too!
Where are you based?
I’m based in the city of cars — Stuttgart, Germany. The birthplace of both Porsche and Mercedes-Benz.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely — travel is at the heart of what I do. New places, new people, and new cultures are what truly inspire me. The joy and excitement that make this my dream job wouldn’t exist if I were at the same venue every other weekend. It’s the ever-changing scenery that fuels my creativity.
How would you describe your style?
I seek art, architecture, and simplicity in both my work and everyday life, which is why I would describe my aesthetic as 'kinfolkesque'. I’m most inspired when my photographs feel authentic, effortlessly minimal, and emotionally alive. This pursuit of beauty and intention naturally draws me to modern art museums and boutique hotels — spaces where design, atmosphere, and quiet luxury intertwine with ease.
What is your most memorable career moment?
Honestly, it’s every time I catch myself smiling in the middle of a shoot — those small, quiet moments of realization that I’m truly living my dream. But truth be told, I’m also speaking at a few workshops and conferences this year, and I have a feeling those experiences will leave a lasting mark on me as well.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by architecture and simplicity, freshly brewed coffee and German bakeries, graphic and interior design, boutique hotels and modern art museums. I find beauty in minimalism, straight lines, true connections, and those little in-between moments — like a cute kiss or a legendary party. Inspiration lives in the details, and I’m endlessly curious about the world around me.
How would you describe your working style?
I always begin with a video call to get to know each couple and see if we genuinely connect. Many don’t initially realize how much time we’ll spend together on such an emotional day, so it’s incredibly important to me that they feel completely at ease — safe, seen, and happy both in my presence and in front of my camera.
Once a couple decides to book me, I adapt to their preferred style of communication. Some coordinate everything through their planner, while others stay in close contact with me directly. No later than three months before the wedding, I send out a detailed questionnaire to gather all key information. From this, I create a personalized mood board to align with their photography vision and personal expectations.
On the wedding day itself, I’m efficient (in the most German way), yet I blend seamlessly into the celebration. Whether it’s calming nerves or quietly sparking joy through thoughtful gestures, I create an atmosphere where everyone feels beautiful, comfortable, and truly seen — allowing me to capture the magic naturally and artfully.
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
I shoot both digitally and on film, and I also offer content creation packages. It all began with my mum’s old Nikon, evolved into shooting digitally with Canon, and today, I even find joy in documenting daily life on my iPhone. Each format holds a special place in my heart — and I truly love them all for the unique ways they tell a story.
Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?
I create custom-tailored proposals for each couple to ensure the experience perfectly aligns with their vision. Whether it’s an intimate couple session or extending the celebration with additional experiences, I offer a variety of options that can be seamlessly integrated into your wedding journey. From film photography to exclusive content creation—no idea is too unique to be considered. Every detail is crafted to make your proposal truly a dream proposal.
What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?
My absolute favorite service to offer is multi-day or multi-event packages. I truly connect with my clients and their loved ones, and with each passing hour and day, the story unfolds more beautifully. These extended experiences allow me to capture the essence of not just the wedding day, but the entire journey.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
The world is truly my playground, but for the summer season, I prefer to stay in Europe as it makes traveling easier. My dream destinations change depending on the vibe, but I am happiest in places that are clean and white, like Puglia; modern and sophisticated, like Paris; or artsy and minimal, like Comporta. These environments inspire me and elevate my work.
Who is your dream client?
My dream client is someone who values quality over quantity and embraces quiet luxury. They don’t use their wedding to impress others but as a genuine celebration of love. They cherish their family and friends, prioritizing good energy and unforgettable moments over perfection. Their wedding becomes the perfect excuse to gather loved ones from around the world and express gratitude in a stylish, meaningful way. With a keen appreciation for architecture and interior design, they notice beauty in the details—whether it’s an espresso martini, a passionate kiss, or a night of dancing.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
My advice to couples getting married is to focus on what truly makes your heart skip a beat and let go of everything else. Having a minimalistic approach helps you stay grounded and avoid getting lost in the overwhelming sea of options. There’s always room to add special touches, but when you start from a place of simplicity and authenticity, your wedding becomes a true reflection of who you are, not just a collection of trends or expectations. From my own upcoming wedding in June 2025, I can say that embracing this mindset has been both freeing and exciting.
