An Ode to Lithuania.
Home to the highest drifting dunes in Europe, this editorial pays homage to head designer Sigita Janelionytė of Jan Si Studios' heritage. Sculpted by winds and waves, this sand dune peninsula separates the waters of the Baltic Sea from the Curonian lagoon in Lithuania. Surrounded by pine forests and soft white sand beaches and majestic but, also fragile dunes, the location inspires and plays a significant role in Sigita's creation of her collections.
"This unique place on Earth, nature's beauty and power have been a source of strength and inspiration for years. We've all experienced times like never before and 2020 is the summer of rediscoveries. Since launching my ready to wear brand back in 2012, I always celebrated British craftsmanship. This time I've travelled back to my roots, my childhood memories, and the place where my heart is. My team and I watched fashion and nature unify for this editorial. It is an ode to my homeland and its breathtaking nature".
With an extensive history of working for high end fashion houses, Sigita made an effortless transition into fashion design and now creates all her pieces from her London based studio. Sustainable fabrics and at the heart of Jan Si Studios.

It is important to ask where and by whom your clothing is made and under what conditions - what materials were used and of course what impact it makes to our surroundings and environment".
